I received from Dolly Mixx today, which was lovely on a sick day Smiley

Here's everything all together...

These are all the extras she sent me...

...but my favourite ones are these...

And here's an action shot of the bag (please excuse the state of my mirror!) I asked for a bag to put my laptop in but that didn't look like a laptop bag - can you tell that my laptop's already in it? Wink

Thanks Dolly Mixx!

Here are the most beautiful items that dustyfro sent to me!

Firstly, my Hufflepuff gloves!

They're from the Slither pattern on knitty.com so they've got buttons down the side too...

Next, my Fairtrade Cockroach Clusters!

They're very yummy! Here's a clickable link to the blurb on the back too about how they were made by 'house elves' who received a fair wage -

Finally, my favourite item... A MARAUDER'S MAP ALTERED ART JOURNAL!!

There are so many cool details on the cover that I'll link all the pictures here...

My favourite bit is that Dumbledore's in the swimming pool Cheesy

Thanks dustyfro! It's all awesome!

Here's a couple of pages that I've been working on for a while now but only just got round to finishing...

This is my list of beautiful things. The list is lace, butterflies, birds, parasols, stained glass, lakes, kimonos, ice, fairy lights, Jerusalem, surfing, beads, early morning light, art, life, friendship, sacrifice, the beach, sunshine, amber, gloworms, fire, shiny things, balloons, music, Wales, watercolours, irises (as in the eye, not the flower), forests, snow, the sky, cherry blossoms, love, sunrises, stars, the sea, flowers, sunsets, and leaves.

This page was inspired by a featured project last month - a reclaimed peacock found here --> https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=341007.0

6  Re: Alphabet Inchies Swap in The Swap Gallery by leafy_lane on: April 30, 2010 04:58:53 AM
Well, I've got all of my inchies now, so here are the pictures!

A, G, M, S and Y from Hebe73

B, H, N, T and Z from keyzmasta

C, I, O and U from alwaysinmyroom (The 'O' one says 'Outrageous' - stupid flash!)

D, J, P and V from malmow

E, K, Q and W from Pupper (Again, the flash took out the 'Q' on the sticker) These ones were double sided but I liked this side better and I forgot to get photos of the other side - sorry Pupper!

Finally, F, L, R and X from nostephot.

Here they are all together and stuck down in one of my arty books...

Thanks guys - they're brilliant!

I've been really rubbish about posting photos 'cos I've been away, but here are the first three sets I received...

The ones on the left are from keyzmasta, the next column's from alwaysinmyroom and the last column's from nostephot.

Thanks guys! They're great and I can't wait to finish the set Smiley I'll need to go back to my parents' house soon to pick up the rest of them so there'll be more pictures soon!

I haven't posted any pages for quite a while (for various reasons), so here's some new ones...

This is a poem that my boyfriend wrote that I just wanted to write down in a nice-looking way. If anyone's that interested I can copy the poem on here too.

I have some pretty serious fear issues - scared of my own imagination. But it shouldn't work like that, and that's what I was trying to convince myself when I worked on this. Oh, and that background is stamped, not painted or drawn or printed. Wink

This page commemorates my granddad, who died on 2nd November 2009. The page is stuffed full of symbolism and memories. He was one of the most wonderful people I've ever met.

I was watching 'Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat' Cheesy

A while ago I said that I was going to post some more pictures of what I've done, and now I'm only just getting round to it!

Blue page. I'm not too keen on this. It just doesn't feel right.

This is one of my favourite pages. I made it after running out of fuel in my car while driving back from lectures one day. It says... 'What I learnt about my car on 1st June. 1. The car is never full or empty. The fuel gauge never shows the tank as completely full or completely empty 2. Always buy fuel no matter how expensive it is! 3. Look at all the options before making a decision like realising that, although it's 12 miles forward to the next petrol station, it's only 1 mile to the last one (the italic bits are just further explanation for you guys Smiley ) I drew the flowers in my notebook while I was waiting for the breakdown people to arrive.

This is my first try at zentangles. I just doodled it on and off over a few days.

"My Secret Garden... shhh!!!" Done using stamps and some advertising cards for some student textile designers.

This is my other favourite page so far. The second picture is just to show where the 'Delicate' tag should go. The writing says 'I had no idea what I was going to do... and wasted no time making a start.' It comes from one of Mr X Stitch's blog posts, and I used it because I just found lots of black, white and grey things that I wanted to use but I didn't really know what I was doing! The whited out bit has my address on it that I saved from a swap envelope in nice writing.

Hopefully I'll put something else up soon - currently I'm working on a rainbow page! Grin
