2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re:Record bowls, easiest gift ever! on: August 29, 2005 11:10:11 PM
I've gotten about eight of those "OMG HOW IN THE HECK CAN I BEAR TO MELT THIS?!?!?" records from good will now...

I'm thinking of a wall o records...kinda tic tac toe-ish..

o being a record, x being the cover off one

x o x o x
o x o x o
x o x o x

Not sure if I want to frame them, or if I want to just hang them as is in the pattern....hmm....

~wanders off muttering to herself~

actually, i just did this! it looks sooooo cool... the records are all shiny, and i guess you could still play them. I used velcro squares to stick them to the wall, but i'm sure you could find a more friendly way to stick them up there. it's great... i have some actual good records up there, and then some joke ones. I think my favorite is the "Famous German Student and Drinking Songs" album. I've also got some Lorence Welk (sp?) foundation ones up there (yes, i know, it's on my wall and i still can't spell it, but hey, i'm still on summer break).

but no. do it. it's a brilliant idea. brilliant.  Wink
