1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Question - Vickie Howell's Victorian Punk Sleeves on: September 11, 2007 09:03:44 PM
I don't think you get the "holes" until later in the pattern. You have to drop the knit stitch between the markers, which will create the "holes".

I love it. Very professional looking. The label on the inside is a very nice touch.

It wasn't very hard at all. It's mostly garter stitch, with lace on either side. It only took me 6 days to complete. It was a lot easier than I was expecting it to be, since I've had trouble knitting lace in the past.

I finished this earlier today. I used Cotton Ease, and I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

The pattern is from the Summer '05 Interweave Knits.

I was inspired by this tutorial. I think everyones bags are just great. I made mine a little differently. I used a magnetic clasp instead of a zipper.

Yes, i did line it. And I used a small snap to close it. Although if I hake another one, i'll probably use a magnetic closure.

As far as the shape goes, the sides are cut at an angle. The top of the bag is an inch wider than the bottom.
