1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Another critter scarf on: January 28, 2015 02:58:02 PM
So i posted last week or so my Fox scarf.. found here >>>> https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=437817.0

now i added a new friend!

tha pattern is the same. But i alternated with the black to create the tail and had just eyeballed the face to look the way it did. After you work with the pattern, you learn how much you need to make the face. I know its missing eyes, i used the same buttons but pained a white line on the bottom so that they would stand out against the black.

hope you like it too Smiley
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Lookin' Foxy on: January 23, 2015 12:30:41 PM
Hi there. Grin

I made this little guy for a friend. Isnt he cute! Its a child size that can be easily made to fit an adult by just adding more stitches to the body. This was my first try, so it did take me a few days to make on my spare time. The eyes are buttons instead of making them out of fabric as well.

I used Caron simply soft in that great burnt orange. It was just the right shade for this fox. As well as white Caron Simply soft. the nose is also yarn, but i had some left over.

i would love to know what you think about it!!

ps. there is more to come!
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Knitting needles holder on: May 14, 2012 08:03:40 PM
Hi there! well i haven't posted anything in a very long time, but now that i have purchased a new sewing machine, i hope to post more often.

Well, the reason i decided to take on this project was because i was able to buy about 13 pairs of knitting needles ( and a bag full of random lace and crafting material )from a man at a flea market for the amazing price of  $6!! and now i needed a place where i could store them all together and also be able to carry them around if needed without much trouble. so i had seen something like this a really long time ago and decided to give it a go.

so here it is.

all wrapped up

side view

flap holding the taller needles in place

all together

so there it is, i know the color options are a bit funky, but they were the heaviest fabrics i had. now to search for the rest of my needles too fill up the case

thanks for looking!!
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / i lost my marbles... no wait.. here they are on: March 27, 2008 11:40:09 PM
so one day before i left for work, i was flipping through the tv when i see on the local staion these girls making neclases using marbles and fabric. they placed the marbles in the middle of the strips of fabric, rolled the fabric around the marble and tied the fabric on both ends of the marble with sting or other bits of fabric.  sounds simple... right... well yes and no... it helps if you have someone to hold the marble in place as you tie the ribbon in place... but i didnt //hahaha.. i tried to glue the marble to the fabrick.. and that didnt help at all...

so after a while...  this is what i came up with...(sry if the pics arent too great)

heres a closer look

and one more

i decided not to tie the ends together.. so i just bound the two ends in the middle with some ribbon to keep them in place....

this one is my fave i must say.

i love the colors of the fabric.. the marbles are kept in place like the other one

i braided the rest.... i had to burn the edges of the fabric so it wouldnt fray ..

and the last one

this one i did bind together with alot of bright yellow ribbon..

so yeah /.. thats bout it .. what yall think?
