ok - more info folks:

My machine is a 4830c

99% sure it's the timing - I took the bobbin case out and have some pictures of what it looks like inside.

Here's a shot of the reversal:

Here's a shot of the bobbin case where it's stopped moving forward:

43  pretty puffs slouchy hat (yes another one :) ) and some scarfs in Crochet: Completed Projects by animegirlie on: June 26, 2008 01:46:26 PM
I've been a mad crocheting fool over the last few weeks. Here are the results:

Here's the entire puffy hat (using pattern - http://jessicasuzanne.com/craftypants/2007/09/13/pretty-puffs-slouchy-hat-with-pattern/):

Here is an example of my horrible seaming:

and here it is on, from the side:

(Please excuse the cubical shot - I finished this during lunch and rushed to take photos...)
I was running low on yarn so opted for only 3 rounds of puffs

2 scarves I made to practice the ripple pattern:

close up of the black and white one:

close up of the blue and brown one:

and a few swap scarves I made...

44  Re: I Love BUTTONS Gallery in The Swap Gallery by animegirlie on: June 23, 2008 01:47:26 PM
and as promised - here are the photos of the buttony goodness that SewingLori sent me:

glittery tin that held my button stash:

sweet little button notebook:

insanely AWESOME ring that she included:

I wore it practically all weekend long.

my favorite thing in the whole package:

isn't it pretty? fits like a GLOVE! she got it exactly right - good post stalking sewinglori.

and last but not least:

THE BUTTONS! SewingLori - the vintage envelope they are sitting on is what I used for the binding on your little notebook.

My favorite buttons are the HUGE blackone in the middle, the black flower one with cream accents, the clear with white flower and rhinestone, and the white one with spirals.

Thanks again for an awesome swap Lori!!

47  blue flower scarflette in Crochet: Completed Projects by animegirlie on: June 09, 2008 01:27:30 PM
Hi Everyone!

I made this for my mom over the weekend:

and here it is on:

these photos aren't up to my usual standards, but at least I have 'em!

Made from this pattern by me: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=222690.msg

I used some yarn purchased at the lovely thrift store down the street that's made to look like home spun. I'll see if I can find the label when I get home. OOPS! Can't find the label anywhere in my apartment! If it shows up I'll update the post.

I have no idea how to spell the fancy name for a ladies decorative pin, but I made one this weekend that I'm rather proud of.

49  not marble magnets, but marble tacks! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by animegirlie on: April 29, 2008 12:02:40 PM
I was goofing around with my glass marbles this weekend and realized that I didn't actually have any magnets so stuck them on flat top thumb tacks. they've come in handy in my crafty area.

I used some scrap book paper (thank you girlosun_9), regular flat top thumbtacks purchased at Target and some flat back glass marbles.

50  Macro Challenge - the little lost shell in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by animegirlie on: April 21, 2008 10:16:50 AM
My first challenge post ever in 5 years on craftster!! woo hoo!

I just got into photography in the last few months, and my primary subject matter is nature in urban settings. I was inspired to concentrate on this subject by the Gutsy Radish stories from Japan

About the photo:

this was taken about a month ago in Los Angeles, CA. There has been no manipulation of this photo except to white balance according to the lighting. Photo was captured using a Canon Powershot G9 .

I don't know what kind of bird lost it's egg for my photo. But my little block of Hollywood is swarming with birds. I have a little humingbird friend who visits in the morning, sitting on the power line about 6 feet away from my patio. I wish I could get a photo of him, but he doesn't seem to like me dashing inside to grab my camera. Wink
