21  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Charm Necklaces, Mummy & Devil Earrings, Hat Earrings... PIC HEAVY on: July 13, 2007 06:01:54 AM
I've been making a whole lot of very Anthro-esque necklaces lately. Huge obsession with crowns and cameos and such so I've been playing around with some stuff.

This is the first one I made. 21st bday present for my friend. It's a few weeks late but it's ok, she'll get it eventually. A crown with 3 music notes and cherries.

The ultimate in romanticism - cameo, heart-shaped locket and all strung a pink chain you can't see in the pic.

More crowns!

This one is just chockful of stuff - owl, skull, crown, key, faux padlock thing, and mini locket

Again, crowns. I mentioned I had a mild obsession, right?

Probably the simplest necklace I've made. The beads are really nice colour though.

And on the opposite end of the spectrum, the craziest one. I know it's super busy and totally over the top but I think that's why I like it.

I also found this great stash of buttons so I've been making cute, kitschy little rings. They're soooo addictive!! I've been making stud earrings too, just no pictures yet.

And then of course, there are always earrings. Lots and lots of earrings. I have a lot more that need to be photographed.

I just love these little hat ones. I made red pair for my Mom for her Red Hat Society gatherings.

These tiny little baskets are handwoven in Northern Thailand. It's crazy, they're sooo tiny!! Each one is BARELY half an inch big.

And these little guys were just adorable and crying to be made into earrings. Smiley

Thanks for looking! Let me know what you think Smiley

Wow that really is a great site! I've been looking for a couple of shawl patterns to make with only 450 yards of yarn! This is perfect. Thanks for the link!!

28  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Time-consuming knitting projects on: May 13, 2007 06:42:10 AM
No worries. I started a razor cami probably 2 years ago and it's still not even close to being done. Also, my 3-hour sweater has turned into the 5-month (and still counting) sweater.... I figure when things get done they get done. As long as I don't run out of needles to start new projects I'm fine. Smiley

Ok I should definitely join this. I've had a razor cami on my needles for ohhhh probably 2 years now. I want my size 6 denises back!!

I don't know why but it's totally been killing me to finish it. I will post pictures as soon as I borrow a camera.

I swear I'm going to wear it this summer if it kills me.
