1  Re: Ongoing ATC Swap - June 2015 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by GumInMyHair on: June 28, 2015 02:17:04 PM
I have received some really nice cards and I want you to see how cute they are, but I apparently have NO photography skills  Angry

Here is the best I can come up with.....

I got this really great interpretation of "coffee" from Stillatthetop. It has lots of layers, Ziggy (remember him?), and even a coffee ring.  So cute! Thank you!

I also got TWO cards from Mountains and Clouds for my "Palm Tree and Pink Lawn Flamingos" theme. One is actually a polaroid! Never thought I'd see one of those again  Smiley. The second one has beautiful rich colors. I thought the palm tree was a sticker, but it's not. A beautiful little painting. Thank you!

If either of you have better pictures of these cards, will you please post them. I want everyone to see how good they really are.

2  Re: 2009 Holiday Handmade Crusade :: (March Theme Page 1) in Craftalongs by GumInMyHair on: March 17, 2009 09:15:26 AM
I have the perfect quilt for the March theme of making a memory.

I saved several T-shirts that my daughter wore when she was little (they all had holes or stains, etc. so I couldn't donate them) for the purpose of making her this quilt when she got older. When I saw this months theme, I knew it was time to do it.

It's a rag quilt. I added little things to the squares like a "C" pocket, applique heart and fish, stamped a few with flowers, etc., but mostley painted bedbugs on it.  Smiley

She's a teenager now and likes the memories that these shirts bring back.

This isn't much, but i made my sister a crochet heart washcloth for her February birthday. I gave her raspberry soap and body spray with it.

5  Easy, Warm, Cardigan sweater in Crochet: Completed Projects by GumInMyHair on: January 25, 2009 10:55:36 AM
This is only the second sweater I have ever made. It fits fine and is very warm. I have been wearing it a lot this winter.

It's made with 1 1/2 skeins of JoAnn's Sensations yarn (the brushed kind). It was fast and easy...my favorite kind of pattern  Wink. I definitely think it's good for beginners too.
I used this pattern, but I didn't add the length or the collar. I wanted a sweater instead of a coat.

6  Re: 2008 12" Squares ~ NOV in Crochetalongs by GumInMyHair on: November 28, 2008 07:29:04 AM
With plenty of time left to mail it off for Christmas.

4x5 throw for my parents.
I joined with a sc stitch with the ridge on top.
This CAL was a fun way to make a Christmas present.

7  My sweater fits! in Crochet: Completed Projects by GumInMyHair on: September 16, 2008 04:43:11 PM
This is my first attempt at clothing. I am thrilled that it fits!

I am going to add a button where I am holding it closed.

I used this pattern, but I made it longer and added waist shaping, made the sleeves longer, and added two rows of sc instead of the picot. It was an easy pattern and it only took me two weeks to finish.

Thanks for looking!

9  Re: baby/childrens blanket along? in Crochetalongs by GumInMyHair on: September 02, 2008 03:12:40 PM
mommycrochets, I like the pink and brown color combo.

Here are a couple baby blankets I just finished for a friend who is due any day.

I made the 12 point star first out of scraps. I was hoping it would be suitable for a boy or girl, but once it was finished I thought it was too girly, so I made another one in case the baby is a boy.

10  Re: 2008 12" Squares ~ APR in Crochetalongs by GumInMyHair on: April 23, 2008 07:04:34 PM
Here are my squares so far. I didn't take time to straighten them up for the picture. I just tossed them on the floor and snapped a pic before the dog ran threw them.

My April square is in there somewhere. I thought I had all my tails weaved in, but I see one in the pic.
