yay! my cousin gave me a shirt that was too small on her and it was a little boring. Im a pretty outgoing and funky person, so i decided to try my first embroidery project on it!

i got the gun from the western theme, and i did the stars on my own.

thats me wearing it!

it even withstood the wash, im so proud!

13  bag, sketchbook, and a question in Completed Projects by chelsea star on: April 11, 2005 12:16:35 PM
ok. so my mom bought a canvas cover sketchbook for me. and this is what i did.
on the front, i traced a bunch of lines with a ruler all over. then i wrote my name in s funky font, colored in most of the shapes, and glued sequins on the white ones. on the back, i traced more lines in a checker board style and then colored them  in. then i glued on a sequin string over the lines, glued on rhinestones and flowers (some fell off)

the bag was just a plain denim bag. on the front i sewed on a pocket, and a whole bunch of crap. including refrigerador letters and a charm from those old 80's candy crap (in the upper left corner, the heart thing)
the back is, you guessed it, POGS! i have a crapload of these things and i get a lot of complements on this bag.

i also have a question. im only 14, and i kinda suck at sewing. i have enough money for a sewing machine, so could somebody give me some tips on what to look for in a good machine? i want something simple and cheap, but not a piece of crap.

14  bag for a friend! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by chelsea star on: April 09, 2005 05:26:33 PM

hey! my friends birthday was today, so i made her this

thats the front

thats the back

i hope she likes it!
it was sooo easy
first, i bought a plain black bag from michaels.
then, i poked holes big enough for yarn across the top.
then i sewd with yarn across the top.
then i sewed on a blue rose that i had from a while ago.
then, i used fabric paint pens to stencil on her name.
then i used very strong fabric glue to glue on heart shaped rhinestones.
then i took studs and stuck them through.
then on the back, i used blue ribbon and a sequin design, pinned the sequins onto it, then sewed it all together.
i stuffed it with candy and gave it to her!!
