I've been knitting like a madman.



Color looks odd/off. Its a very pretty blue/green.. I think its the color "denim"  but honestly to me it has a touch of not-just-blue in it. Maybe it was my dye lot, i dunno.

Anyhow. there you go, kids. looks like I'll be done with the main body  part soon.

So... I said (like a month ago) that I'd knit sweaters for my two nephews as Christmas presents. Well, I knit one for the younger one (as seen... HERE! https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=141169.0)... and by then it was Christmas and I had just finished the one sweater So I didn't hold to my promise. And I felt bad.

HOWEVER. I bought a knitting machine recently. And... knitting machine = big things take short time. Observe! Here is me working on a sleeve:



See? Pretty fast. The entire sleeve took me about 40 minutes. Normally, hand-knitting it... probably about a week. Also note that at 5 minutes of handknitting, I'd have about.... 3 rows. If I was going fast.

As you can tell, its based off the Manly sweater from SnB, except... just the colors. I used actual pattern from http://www.knittingfool.com/, the most handy site for sweaters ever. Also, the manly sweater didn't come in a childrens' size 8. So. yes.

This is the first thing I've made on a knitting machine (well, sortof. I made a scarf on it first haha) but its very handy. I am a person with a very short attention span, so I've several sweaters (and hell, even... like socks or arm warmers) that have been highly neglected and put away to never see the light of day again. Also, I have a thing for designing my own stuff and I know that this will help a lot.

Though I kinda feel cheap using it... but whatevs. Its damned cute.

So! Im really terrible about posting things... I finish all this stuff and then I never post it  

First off: we have a sweater for my youngest nephew, Robert. No pictures of him actually *in* it yet, but thats because i just sent it off.



This marks the second sweater I have ever made. Im even surprised that I finished it... I knit it primarily while playing World of Warcraft... like during the griffen flights and that. Knit with the UGA logo. Go Dawgs!

I call it the emo hat because... well it just looks so emo-y to me. Its a reversable hat so it has two sides, and I took emotastic pictures to play it up

I dunno why i like this side better, but... i do.

Very easy knit, and very fun (and surprisingly fast.. .made in two nights). I hope to make these for my friends... but of course my track record thus far of "I'll make these for my friends' has been... not great. At any rate, try the pattern. Mine came out a little big, but I was using a size up in both needles and yarn.

Oh, and for the record... they were all knit in 7 needles with Lion Brand Wool-Ease. Can you say leftovers? woo.

Yes, my friends, I am the epitemy of nerdiness. I have gone so far as to intarsia my favorite symbol from my favorite game into a sweater. It looks pretty awesome if you ask me (or perhaps I'm just obscenely proud of it)

Its my first sweater and I am SO pleased with how it looks, but I finished it at the beginning of summer so I have yet to have a chance to wear it. But! Winter is approaching! And hopefully we'll have on of those freak-cold days soon this fall.

I love cold weather.

This post is waaaaayyy long overdue. But I lost the cord to connect my camera to the computer and I only recently went out and bought a card reader. SO. Here we go.

ITEM ONE: Syltherin Scarf


I made this for my friend for Christmas. First thing I ever knit She's a Slytherin. I started on one for me but its still in produciton Good lord, I'm pale.

ITEM TWO: Kitty Hat

Yes, from the Debbie Stoller book. I love it, I get so many compliments on it. Wore it out to go skiing in Utah (as you can tell...)

ITEM THREE: Gloves

Not the best pic, but whatever. I literally started knitting so I could make these. I had a pair like them but I lost them, so... I made some instead! From the Marnie MacLean pattern...

ITEM FOUR: Knitted Kitty

I love this to death... but I filled it with catnip because I couldn't decide whether or not it should be a kitty toy. After the pink bow, I thought it was just too cute. Unfortunately now I have to keep it hidden so my kitties don't eat it.

hey hey. i made the long socks. pippi longstockings, i think. they are so awesome and so easy to make. i made one pair for myself and everyone wanted a pair. here are three that i've made. they take a while bc the stitching is tight, but i think they're worth it. and they are my first pair of socks!

oh wow, i LOVE the colors on the first pair... SO cute-- especially that pink! what yarns did you use?

SO HI!! This is my first recon EVER!!!! it was an old regular big t-shirt that my dad got me in Vegas... I loved the design on the front (and i love las vegas) but it just wasn't flattering. so i took off the sleeves and the neck, took in the sides, then added side-sleeves and the straps on the top.
