102  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re:Alien illusion scarf crisis on: February 01, 2004 11:21:59 AM
do you mean your mc is at the other end of your work than you cc?

I think what you are surpost to do is cast on with your mc then the first two rows are done with cc then change back to mc.
Thats the way i did it and it worked out everytime i changed colour it was on a odd row when the colours were at the same end.
Hope that helps
103  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re:Alien illusion scarf mistake on: January 28, 2004 02:02:00 PM
I'm so confused!
i think the way i have started to knit it i will have a black Alien on green background.
I did the swap of the colours but now i'm thinking the book i have has got it fixed so i didn't need to fix the colours.
Oh this is so confusing. I guess i'll just keep knitting a bit more and see.
Thanks melidomi
104  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Alien illusion scarf mistake on: January 28, 2004 12:01:28 PM
Okay i know that in some copies of the Stitch n bitch book that the colours are around the wrong way but before I start i want to make sure I get this right!
I checked out Debbies site
Alien Illusion Scarf: In early printings of the book, the colors in the chart are reversed. The first two rows of the chart should be knit in the Contrast Color (green), the next two in the Main Color (black), and so on.
so from that and looking at the copy of the book i have here the MC should be Black and the CC green but then i checked out Shetha's site and saw this
The pattern has the MC and CC switched. The MC should be Spring Green and the CC should be Pepper. The editor says the reprinted versions will have this changed and there will be errata available soon. Just thought I would put a note here since this site was referenced in the book. -S

So which is right? or am i just being silly and reading them wrong when they both are telling me the same thing.
the copy of the book i have says the mc is black and cc green.
Please help Smiley
