ok,i admit i am sonot into the gamer thing, i know nothing... but i saw this in recent with pix and thought it was great and figured it'd be one of those fly away 897 pager projects because it's so nifty, but when i saw you only had one reply i had to give you some love... this is great, it looks so good... and i don't even know what the original is! you did well... really

actually the dress you posted is more form fitting i think... also, that site i posted has some out of print pattens and so would ebay... but i still think a square dance outfit pattern is your best bet

this looks exactly like a square dancing dress... just in satin or something similar... you can just google square dancing dress and find loads for less than 10 bucks (though they may be in tops and skirts not dresses) orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr lol just find kwik sew 2102... if you'd like a pic of it go to sewingpatterns.com and type in ksp2102 you can buy it there or elsewhere... that site is fab for reference though
34  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Memory vials from Half Blood Prince on: February 16, 2010 05:56:22 PM
that vial is beautiful... but producing them is probably expensive... what did this cost?

to yofi... microwave roux kinda tastes like burnt ass lol you'd be much more likely to have a good gumbo with a packet of poultry gravy mix (good gravys start with roux too!)... and the darker the roux doesn't mean the better the gumbo, it's suppo!ed to be blonde... i bet what you made is great... don't mess with perfection! if you must get a better method, try alton browns oven roux, but again, don't go too dark, it wouldn't be gumbo if it were black! you can also make gumbo without a traditional roux, if you would like, pm me and i'll give you our recipe
36  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Can I avoid this? on: February 10, 2010 07:18:14 AM
I think it happens to me because I turn the work the same direction over and over and over, thereby twisting the yarn, which makes it kink back on itself like when you make one of those twisted cords. If, at the end of every other round I turn the work the other way, it keeps it even. Bonus combo points for anybody who understood that! LOL!
yay... what exactly does one do with bonus combo points? lolol

38  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Moorish Mosaic Afghan from Interweave Crochet Magazine Issue Fall 2009 on: February 09, 2010 03:45:35 AM
i think this is going to be absolutely gorgeous... i may try and recreate it in fabric i like it so much... but in your pic, the two darkest ones on the left don't seem to have enough color/contrast like the rest of them, maybe you could use lighter yarn with/in that one... otherwise it's perfect, your colors look great
39  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Need help figuring out a stitch. on: February 08, 2010 09:19:36 AM
not sure if this will helpyou, but it always helps me... i take that line of stitching and practice it stitch by stitch using the tutorials and stitch guides in the following places... youtube.com, http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory/stitches.php  and  http://www.anniesattic.com/crochet/content.html?type_id=S

i actually don't crochet much, i don't really know many stitches, but i do deal with yarns lots and i had a grandma who crocheted everyday of her life and i asked way too many questions, and while i may not have picked the art up, i know loads of tips... i'm just now teaching myself a bit more than basics, i have mastered the granny square!
