1  Re: My Country Doesn't Have That 8 (Ongoing) in The Swap Gallery by Violet218 on: April 30, 2007 09:06:34 AM
I received my parcel from geeyouknit on saturday  Cheesy I love it! Thank you so much!!

Some Wool of the Andes in stunning colours - the deep cherry is just delicious! I'm collecting them for an intarsia jumper. And an Interweave Knits! US knitting magazines totally rock!

I'm so overwhelmed by these cookie cutters - Jami had asked me in a pm what knid of 'things' I like, and I was trying to guess what she could be sending - but these topped anything I coulda thought of! I had no idea that cookie cutters in all these shapes even existed - we are so deprived in the UK!

I made a tonne of cookies at the weekend - see more here http://www.flickr.com/photos/socherry/sets/72157600097401123/

...and as if that wasn't enough ....

I've never seen anything except white cupcake papers in the UK - a friend got some tinfoily ones from England, but other than that... These are so retro-licious! I'm going to be making cupcakes this coming weekend! And some funky sprinkles too.

Thank you so much Jami - you've really spoiled me!!!  Grin

4  Re: How's Your etsy Shop Doing? in Selling Crafts on Etsy.com by Violet218 on: July 31, 2006 09:34:20 AM
Can I ask a jewllery opinion?  Smiley

And i love the ring tomatedepingles - it's cute! I'm sure it'll sell - i like putting similarly coloured beads together on pieces.

Better pics on this an the apply-necklace here: http://socherry.blogspot.com/

I'm just wondering prices, prettiness etc. I've just starting making jewellery in the past couple of months and I'm having a crisis of confidence!

Thanks so much

5  My 1st - a knitting themed tshirt in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects by Violet218 on: June 15, 2006 12:43:33 PM
At a Stitch n' Bitch a few weeks ago one of the members brought in a ball of yarn with the funkiest little retro illustration on the ball band of a baby alpaca. Another member suggested that this would make a great tshirt. I brought it home, blew up the illustration and fixed it up with Photoshop.

Today I finally got round to buying transfer paper and doing my first tshirt transfer! I love it!! Whaddya think?

I got this cool transfer paper with iron-on symbols on the back that change colour to let you know when you're done. The only probs I had were printing out when I put the res too high and got bleeding on the first print.

10  Deconstruted Jeans bag - image heavy in CHALLENGE 7 ENTRIES by Violet218 on: November 07, 2005 04:20:31 AM
I completely deconstructed my jeans and tried to think of more original ways to make a bag - I know it's maybe not the most original idea ... but for me this is the 2nd bag I've ever made and the 1st bag that I dare to leave the house proud of!  Grin
So for me it is original and new!  Grin Cheesy

using the button bit to make a fastening...
