For borosilicate you need a really hot flame, the hotter the better.  The boro glass does give you more time to work between heats, but it is still really important to keep it nice and hot so it doesn't crack. I would suggest getting your hands on the "contemporary lampworking" book set if you can. Some good websites to check out are www.lampworktutorials.com , www.lampworketc.com, the flow magazine has some free tutorials on their website.  There are other forums as well, the melting pot is a good one.  If you browse around those sites there'll be some good stuff to get you started.  We've made a couple tutorials, one for our flower pendants on www.glassflowerpendants.com and if you look on our website http://www.glasspeace.com/glass-pendants/glass-mushroom-pendants  there's a link there to a video I made on how to make a glass mushroom bead.  Youtube is also good to browse around for tutorials.  Good luck with the boro, if you've got any more questions let us know!
