That's a beautiful quilt!
Thanks for the instructions, I'd love to make one some day.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

They were fun to make, especially working with my sister. The tops went together quickly with one person cutting while the other sewed.

Nilla bean, I live in Canberra Australia so quilting prices will vary. I got the name of the professional quilter from my local fabric store. She charged $35 per square metre, it cost $211 all up (I just did a currency conversion, thats about $160 US, or $26 US per square metre)

Great work!

I bought Denyse Schmidt Quilts last year and I can't wait to make big zig myself (or maybe baby zig to start with Smiley)

Yay, I got my package from minniepearl today!

She sent pretty spring bead jewelery, a beautiful dark chocolate coloured bag with spring green lining, cute & lovable knitted chick and bunny with chocolate eggs inside, a chocolate bunny (I'm afraid the bunny's not long for this world Wink), more candy (behind the bunny in the photo) and a cute card, great craftsters think alike BlondieKate.

Thanks so much for a great swap minniepearl and thanks for organising sharc.

I'm going to a wedding on Easter Saturday. The happy couple have a one year old daughter so I decided to make matching quilts, one crib sized and one queen size.
My sister and I made the tops in soft greens inspired by Denyse Schmidt quilts
I had the quilts professionally machine quilted in order to get them done in time. I just finished sewing on the binding with two days to spare.

The quilts together

Queen quilt - front.

Queen quilt - back

Baby quilt

So glad it arrived before Easter and pleased as punch that you like it so much.
It's great to see all the needles in the roll, I didn't even have 1 pair to test for size. Thank goodness for all the generous craftsters who post tutorials so I knew what size to make the roll and also how to make the flowers.

Those cookies are so cute!

I posted Minniepearl's package today.
I know it's a little early but I was hoping to post it with time to get from Australia to the US by Easter. It still might not get there until after Easter.

Here is a picture of what I sent : Wink
