1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Gallery on: February 03, 2006 10:17:52 AM
Ok well i finally got round to posting this, i took the picture ages ago, but i only just put the pics on my pc, they are a biy crappy but that is due to the fact that i didn't know there is a special 'macro' mode for close-ups at the time so forgive me! Here is what purpleheather sent me!

My blue stocking, the rest is mostly like cardmaking stuff: Loads of different coloured card, envelopes, shiney paper with these pens i'm still workin out what they are meant to do though...some little boxes with stars and bits in them, some groovey stickers which i have to post a picture of

They picture doesn't show them off very well but i love em!
Also included were some like bath teabag type things and this like cardboard corrugater. (the yellow thing)
Thanks so much Heather!

The picture really doesn't do it justice, its so beautiful and soft, the snowflakes really finish it off! And its my favourite colour too! I LOVE IT!

Erm for a baby's stocking....small fleece blanket, wipes, small toys or dummies (do some people call them pacifiers?) Items of clothing....tiny socks!
I don't know what kind of things you are looking for really.
You could make some flash cards with letters and pictures like 'a for apple', but i don't know how old the baby is! You could make a cuddly toy but i think its probably a bit too near xmas for that!
Sorry that doesn't seem to be much help!

Not to spoil the surprise for LittleJo, who should be recieving today or tomorrow, I sent a mix of supplies and, some handmade items.  I don't really mind what i recieve - I'd just like a stocking to open up on Christmas day Cheesy
Out of curiosity, am I odd to have wrapped everything in the stocking?  Is that a UK only tradition, or not?
I recieved today!!!!!!!!! I've just been running round the house like mad going ' oh my god oh my god oh my god!' The postman left my parcel at the end of the drive tucked away. I lurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrve my stocking! Its the best thing ever! I'm so excited and i haven't even opened the things inside it! Its so beautiful!
Don't worry though i wrapped all the gifts in yours individually too! Its way more fun that way!
I cant wait til christmas, normally i would open it but i'll wait.
I would take a picture but i don't know where the camera is, and i might be getting a new one for christmas so i will wait!!!! YEY
Thanks soooooooo much

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Stocking Fillers! on: December 03, 2005 11:16:34 AM
"Cheap" is not a word you will use in connection with stocking stuffers for very long!
The first Christmas I was in charge of Christmas stockings, the stuffers ended up costing more than the presents did. So now I look for bulk.

The whole point of stockig fillers is that they are Meant to be cheap little things, that cost between like 1-10!
