1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Bridesmaid Necklace and Bracelet Set on: June 09, 2011 09:04:00 PM
I've been wracking my brain, trying to decide which of my pieces to post first... so here we go! Smiley

This is a set I made, to wear in a friend's wedding.  We were each responsible for our jewelry, except for one piece that she purchased for each of us.  For me, she bought the earrings, so I took care of the necklace and bracelet.

Her colors were a sort of royal purple color, and pale green (pardon the photo quality... the bracelet photo is closer to true color):

And the bracelet I made to coordinate:

As you can probably tell, the necklace was quite a bit more complicated than the bracelet.  All told, I think it took me about 4 hours to string, just because it was kinda tedious.  Each of the large "beads" is actually a bunch of little beads put together to look like a single beaded bead.  The bracelet was a quickie project - maybe 15 minutes or so.  Smiley  The necklace is made up of Swarovski crystals, glass pinch beads, green adventurine, and 80 3-hole spacer bars.  The bracelet is just Swarovski crystals, glass beads, and silver plated spacers.

Here's links to a couple of action shots... don't mind my chubby neck. :p

2  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Coming out of hiding on: May 30, 2011 01:50:25 AM
I suppose it's time I actually introduced myself, having lurked in the shadows for almost 6 years.  Tongue

I currently live in Turlock, California.  My craft of choice is jewelry, mostly beading.  Occasionally I will dabble in other mediums, such as scrap booking, card making, etc.  Currently, I'm having a lot of fun playing with polymer clay!

My goal, right now, is to be active on the forums.  I've been out of a day-job for the past 6 months, with no end in sight, so I have a LOT of free time.  I have no excuse!  Cheesy
