Hey everybody, It's been awhile since I've posted a FO, and I've been working on this one for awhile... finally tackled the crochet straps and found the right ribbon for the trimming!  Thank you so much smulan, for sending me the pattern from Stockholm! I owe you big time!

Here's the Pattern Pic:

I really love Marnie Maclean's Bella Paquita- It's a lovely sweater with lace trim, knit in the round (yea!)
If you're interested, here's my finished Bella:

I also have been eyeing Stephanie Japel's Simple Knit Bodice, at Stitch Diva, due to the sweet details and the wonderful fact that it is also knit in the round.
happy knitting Cheesy
14  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help! with Urban Rustic on: November 13, 2006 07:07:59 PM
Okay, so after a second (or third?) try, I now finally understand the problem...I was trying to knit with my denise circulars, so I was confused as to which end I was starting on- the pattern calls for #9 straights, so i'll just have to find someone from whom i can borrow some-its not a size i use often!
  Thanks everyone for you help!!

Thanks for your advice starlight Smiley Unfortunately the pattern isn't worked in the round.  I think I will just have to take another stab at it- very slowly this time  Grin
16  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help! with Urban Rustic on: November 10, 2006 05:31:00 PM
Hi, I have tried to make Knitty's Urban Rustic once, and failed miserably... I have seen questions here about the crochet cast on- I didn't have any trouble on that one, but I found that as I kept knitting the gloves, the first finger I knit connected akwardly to the rest of the fingers...
I'm not sure how else to explain, except to say that I finished 75% of one glove, only to find that it twisted in a strange spiral- like fashion, and confused the daylights out of me  Tongue
If anyone has some insight into what I did wrong, please let me know!
Thanks Wink

Hi, My name is Megan- I'm a fourth year college student in Columbus, Ohio, studying French.  In my free time I try to keep a balance between work and my creative life:  Knitting and sewing are my two biggest preoccupations.  My current WIPs are Knitty's Hedera in elann.com Baby Silk and a modified Rowan aran sweater with yarn from the Irish Ewe.  I also love collecting and recreating vintage clothing and sewing patterns.  I am particularly fascinated with Burda's world of fashion, Phildar, and all things Rowan.
Craftiness aside, I am a single 21 year old looking to make new friends.  I am also an avid reader (David Sedaris, Kurt Vonnegut, Margaret Atwood, Jack Kerouac, etc.), and a fan of good music (the books, the flaming lips, imogen heap, the eels, thievery corporation) and good movies (Science of Sleep, Garden State, Amelie, Shopgirl, Breakfast at Tiffany's)  I also love traveling, and have spent some time in Paris and seen a little bit of Europe-but i really must go back again after graduation!
I used to have pen pals, but once e-mailing came into vogue, most people I know stopped writing real letters... except for my mom  Tongue  I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks for all the extremely nice comments!!!
I've been wanting to make another intense handmade garment, but I can't seem to think of anything that really inspires me recently...  Or good fabric for that matter...  Joann's has really been making me sad lately, with such high prices for fabric i'm not sure even Old Navy would use... ah well Roll Eyes
