We have never done PJs on Christmas but I think I may do it this year. Sounds like a fun idea!

We always leave cookies and milk for Santa. Usually carrots or apples for the reindeer. Sometimes the deer get into our horse feed in the barn and leave the top off Cheesy

I am floored looking at all those poppets in one room. You are the famous mermaid poppet maker. I've been drooling over her for a while!!!
LOL actually I made those for Beth them... I'd make you one if you could wait til after fall semester... or the next poppet swap! Wink

Hello? What? Oh I'm back, I think  I just fainted! I could wait! I could wait until whenever. Woah, I'd be like a kid at Christmas! Maybe we can work something out after Christmas when semester is over and all the Christmas stuff calms Cheesy

for us it was nuts as well as oranges - no idea why we had nuts, but there was always a handful at the bottom of my stocking! I'm another one that left the orange (and the nuts!).
I've always done something like stockings - if not stockings then silly little presents that got hidden in the tree for people to find (it was my ex-in-laws who introduced me to that one)
I've made DH do a stocking for me every year - even before we had the boys(!) but it's taken him a few years to realise that stockings are fun and silly, and not just loaded with the ordinary presents, and even so he doesn't do them very well; but at least he tries Smiley

Still on the fence with this one - so want to jump in, but the amount of crafting scares me (I would love 2 stockings - for my boys) because I've had some serious health issues over the summer, and worried about them coming back and being unable to craft Undecided Undecided

We always got some nuts in ours along with the oranges too. I haven't carried on that tradition, but now that I think about it, I may do it this year!

We always got an orange. My Mom said she and her siblings always got them too. I put them in my kids stockings just because it's a tradition Cheesy

I have 5 or 6 days totally finished and most other days partially finished. I need to buy some more goodies and extras but I feel like I'm on track.

Well I got a compliment (I think) on one item today. Something that I finished was on the counter today and my 13 year old who likes nothing picked it up and said "This is awesome! Can you make me one?" Score!! I always wonder if the things I make look okay or if I'm looking at them with rose colored glasses.
619  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Christmas Swaps? on: September 10, 2012 03:47:11 AM
I have alot on my 'todo' list already, but I can't resist a Christmas Gift Exchange. Do we need to sign up and what else do we need to do?

You would need to read the swap rules here https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=175758.0

I think you have to be a member for 30 days and have 15 posts. Swaps are a lot of fun though and new ones are popping up all the time.
