Hubby got the package sent today. I will have tracking info, etc when he gets home. Post office was closed despite it saying online it was open until noon today. He said it was 26 pounds  Shocked

I have lots of ideas, but they won't come to life until I make a trip to the craft store. My husband did win a $250 visa gift card. I wonder if he wants to share it. Hmmmm. I've got one item done and a list of ideas for both partners. Although, my lists tend to change often as I come up with new ideas, or some fail. I have ideas for both stockings, but they aren't set in stone. I'm still brainstorming.

I needed another box so I grabbed one at work today, but it's too small. That means back to town tomorrow to grab a bigger one. Good news is I only have one tiny thing to do to one item. Hopefully I will get that done tonight. I've already started wrapping and taking pictures. Sending by Friday. So excited!

I put the finishing touches on a couple items yesterday. I think I have only two things to make and hopefully I can finish both today. I have taken pictures of my completed items. I think I will go through my wrapping supplies and start wrapping today also (or maybe tomorrow). Either way, I will be finished and the package will be going out by this weekend Smiley My swap partner is great; I hope she likes everything.

I completed one item for one of my partners yesterday. I have a list of ideas for both, but I'm sure that will change as time goes on. I'm bad about erasing some items and adding new as some work out, some don't, and I get more ideas. I have some ideas about stockings, but nothing set in stone. I'm still brainstorming.

Got some supplies this weekend. My daughter is helping me craft for this swap and she is very excited too! I haven't started because I'm putting finishing touches on my Halloween swap stuff. I'm going to get started crafting this week Smiley
588  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: would love ideas for fishing items or interesting toys or anything else on: September 23, 2012 04:29:38 AM
Is your Dad my Dad? Or my husband? He sounds like both of them! LOL

I'm going to be checking this thread for ideas for my hubby. My Dad, I've given up on. I usually buy his things. They are sometimes toys. A couple years ago I bought him an bionic eye microscope toy thing that hooks to the TV, and a remote controlled helicopter. He still plays with both. I did make him a quilt but it took a lot of time, but his dogs sleep with him so it's all messed up from having to wash it every week. Umm let's see, I gave him one of those trail cameras and he put it in his yard to see what all was coming through there. He lives in town and has seen deer, wild turkey, and all sorts of critters so he enjoys that. Anyway, most of that stuff is bought stuff.

I have been trying to think of things to craft for my husband. Just a few ideas were: shaving soap, knitted hat or one of those neck warmer things he wears hunting (it's not a scarf, it's round and slips over your head and just goes around his neck..I dunno what it is), well come to think of it that's all I got. He fishes too (not fly) but he's not like a die hard. He likes tools but has everything he wants and I wouldn't know what to get anyway. He wouldn't care about wall art. He watches football but doesn't care that much who wins or whatever. He likes food  Roll Eyes but anything I make will be partially eaten by our kids, has plenty of pjs or lounging clothes, and doesn't wear ties. He grills for us once or twice a week but doesn't and probably wouldn't wear one of those grilling aprons. Not that into grilling that he would like various rubs/sauces. I prepare it, he just puts it on the grill and takes it off. He just sticks his phone in his pocket; I don't think he would use a case. Anyway, I tried to help but as I started typing I realized I had no ideas either. Hopefully someone will have some good ones for you and I can borrow them Cheesy

That is so weird.  I couldn't imagine having Christmas without snow.  I know some of you have never had the snow, but I've always wondered, do you still have the Christmas cards with snowy pictures??  Tongue
Yes we do Smiley We are lucky to get a couple inches of snow once a year, most years we never see a flake. 2 Christmases ago, we got snow on Christmas! It was our first white Christmas in 49 years (before my time). It was maybe 2" to 4" and was mostly gone by the next day but it was AWESOME!!

Leather and Lace, I love the mugs. What type of paint did you use and did you free hand? I am thinking of making some for Christmas gifts, but I've never painted on mugs, and have NO talent so I think I will stencil if I can figure out what to use.

Oh, and I'm not sure what Once Upon a Time is, but the gallery if full of awesome things already Smiley
