1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Hollywood Nights ~ 21st ideas on: October 04, 2007 05:28:39 AM
The _____ in a box ideas are great. So far I have the following to play around with...

NYC in a box

* I heart NY t shirt
* mini statue of liberty
* travel guide
* NYC mug
* poster

What could I put in a theatrical/drama queen box?
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Hollywood Nights ~ 21st ideas on: October 04, 2007 04:15:31 AM

My friend turns 21 next Saturday.  She adores anything to do with Hollywood/ New York etc  She is studying theatre at college. Her party has a Hollywood Nights, "lights, camera, action" theme.  I'd love to get her a gift that is of a similar theme but I'm completely stumped and, sadly, strapped for cash at the moment.
So far I have her a 4ft helium balloon in the shape of an oscar lol.  Any other tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks  Grin
3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Post Photos of Your Tattoos! on: July 20, 2007 05:51:37 PM
Lovin' this thread...I'm slowly but surely getting addicted to tats.
I have three, one on my left shoulder which I had done when I was in my mid teens.  It was only because it was THE thing to do at the time and I'm not much in love with it now tbh.  Also, not sure why I had my name written underneath lol...maybes in case I forgot it???

The flutterby is on my lower back and I love it.  Planning on having a few little flutterby friends join her through time, as well as some flowers and dragonflies.

My third tattoo I don't have a pic of, but it's my Daughter's name in the huggable and luvvable font.  It starts on the inside of my wrist and kinda snakes around to the outside.  Was definitely the most painful by far.

The pink goes lovely with the denim.  I like headbands, but it is very difficult getting one that matches your outfit perfectly, so like you I made my own.  I use the patterns on http://www.savvyseams.com/acc/headbands.php

Hi there, I'm planning on decorating my daughters bedroom and rather than go for a character theme which dates easily (this I know because she has already had Winnie the Pooh and Disney Princess and both have bored her pretty easily), I'm thinking of a garden theme with flowers and bugs.  We don't have a garden of our own so it would be pretty cool.

During one of my numerous searches, I found http://www.butterflycraze.com/store/mobiles.html which I am completely in love with.  Being a craftster, I want to try and make these by myself and I think I've got the basic idea, but not completely sure, so any tips/techniques you guys have and could throw my way would be greatly appreciated.

I could just go buy these, as the site owner has an ebay shop (I'm in the Uk so buy most of my American finds from ebay lol), but I want to try and create my own first.  Thankies in advance

That is absolutely gorgeous.  I'm in the UK and paid 20 for a duvet cover and pillow case because my daughter adores D-d-d-dora....it's pretty fugly compared to yours though.  A really dark purple, but it makes my girl happy lol.  Great job...I'd buy that!
