2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Gift ideas for a craftster?? on: December 02, 2008 06:58:36 PM

I need help from my fellow craftsters  Smiley

I'm looking for Christmas gift ideas for my crafty cousin.  Unfortunately I won't have time this year to make her a gift so I'm looking to buy something for $30 or less. She's in her 20s, likes knitting and home decorating (among other crafts), and is expecting her first baby next year.

Any suggestions??

I love it!!

I enjoy the look of flowers but don't like to kill them by cutting them for arrangements. This way you don't have to! great job  Grin

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: ?? What type of wedding are you planning ~ age?? on: March 04, 2008 08:23:07 PM
Then in the evening we're either going to hire out a small local cinema and play something like The Princess Bride or have a DVD night at a friends house.

That is such a cool idea and the Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies!! (actually my boyfriend went to see it on his first date in 6th grade...so cute!)

I think it is fun to plan other activities for the guest besides just the reception, especially if people are coming from out of town. My friend had a wedding on St. Croix (her husband is Cruzan) this past summer and they rented a boat and took everyone snorkeling and to a beach picnic. It was a really fun way for the families to get to know each other too because I don't think they had met beforehand since the bride's family lives in Michigan and the groom's on St. Croix.

This is such a creative idea! I'm going to bookmark this for when I get married!
10  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Tokyo decoupaged wall hanging on: February 19, 2008 02:23:23 PM

I cut a piece of plywood into a circle and then decoupaged a Tokyo Bay scene. I just need to figure out some way to finish the edges and hang it. I was thinking of using grosgrain ribbon and buttons to make a trim. But for now, it looks nice just resting on the bookshelf  Smiley
