1  Patches in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by sparksfly on: February 06, 2019 01:35:35 PM

I keep seeing these awesome jackets on instagram and theyre selling for $200+ I figured Id try to make one. Any idea where to find the large logo patches like on the jacket above? I looked on Etsy and all the stores said they dont have them any more and wont get more because they dont sell well.

A last resort I could iron on transfer the logo and fabric glue it on. But I like the look of a patch with the stitching on the edges.

2  Slip for couch cushion? in Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions by sparksfly on: December 16, 2011 09:37:04 AM
My parents bought a couch about a year ago made of fake leather. One of the cushions is falling apart. The fabric on top where you sit is all ripped.

My father went out and bought some fake leather that matches the couch perfectly[it's basically the same fabric] and since I know how to sew he wants me to to make a slip cover.

The only problem is the couch cousins are sewn into the bottom of the couch. There not completely sewn if that makes sense so you could make something and slip it under, not completely.

How would I go about making a slip cover for it?

I was thinking of something like this: but bigger. Just so I could slip the edges under the cushion and so it would stay in place.
