1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: About a hundred test tubes? on: February 29, 2012 03:44:14 PM
The page below has a chandelier made entirely from drilled wood and test tubes.  Then the test tubes can be filled with colored water for different effects.

I have two dozen of these clear plastic mailing tubes from my husbands work.  The plastic is flexible and tough.  Both ends have red rubber caps and aren't level, so the tubes don't stand up.  What can I do with these?  Currently I have colored pencils and paint brushes stored in some.

Here's the link to see them.  They are the third pic down with red caps on both ends.

I use one of mine to hold plastic grocery bags in the car for trash or kid emergencies.

Wow, these would be great!  You can paint on them and hang them as ornaments or in the window as sun-catchers.  You can sandwich a photo between 2 as a floating frame.  You can paint one side and cover the paint with a layer of cork to use the other side as a coaster.  You can glue them together in a box shape and use them to hold stuff.  You can paint them each rainbow color and hang them in the sun in a line.  There's just so much you could do!
