21  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Beaded Knits? on: December 21, 2005 03:08:27 PM
as an alternative to carrying thread along, you can use a small crochet hook when knitting to individually put the bead on the knit stitch.  On the DIY Network show, Knitty Gritty, they had an episode on knitting with beads.  I went to the website to post a link but can't find it.  The guest was Lily Chin, and her book, Knit and CRochet with Beads has instructions.

here's the DIY link: http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/shows_dkng/episode/0,2046,DIY_18180_40468,00.html

hope it helps!
22  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / those happy hookers on: December 21, 2005 02:05:08 PM
I just took a peek at the crochet threads, because hey, I too crochet!  But oh my, are they into some craaaazy stuff.  There are stuffed animals up the ying yang  Roll Eyes and dare I mention the male body parts Shocked?  whereas we have a digestive system.

Interesting stuff over there, but I will stick to mainly knitting with crochet edgings and what not. Wink
