1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Re: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia stencil ideas? on: August 10, 2006 10:00:58 AM
That's a good idea! There are tons of good lines. I don't know if I'm ballsy enough to wear a shirt with that line on it though.
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia stencil ideas? on: August 09, 2006 11:40:38 AM
I've recently become a fan of the FX TV show "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia". I want to make a shirt, but am short on ideas. Any fans of the show on Craftster? Got any stencil ideas you'd be willing to share? I was thinking of something similar to the website with the sign or logo, but then I thought maybe Charlie's face would be a good place to start. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Great job! I'm in love with it. I can't believe the thought you put into it.

That's fantastic. How many colors did you use? four? five?

I bought my last bunch at Footlocker. They were 5 for $20. They have a bunch of color and some with ringers even.

I'd be interested in a tutorial as well. These are beautiful. Thanks for posting them.
8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: His Name is Rick (my first stencil) on: August 10, 2005 09:46:54 AM
I used freezer paper and cheap craft paint with textile medium. I was nervous about washing it, but it came out fine. Wasn't brave enough to try the dryer though.

Thanks to all the great instructions here, I made my first stencil. My friends have a band called We Wrote the Book on Connectors. They sing a song for the drummer in the bad called "His Name is Rick." I made a shirt with Rick's face and the name of the song. It came out pretty good for a first attempt, I think. Obviously the letters could be sharpened up. Those were the hardest part. I did the name of the band on the back and it didn't come out very well. It's still readable though, so I'm cool with it.

That's a cool piece. How about handwash with Woolite? That would be very gentle.
