3  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / help with triangle border on: November 12, 2008 10:21:21 AM

I want to make a quilt like this one but that triangle border is kinda advanced for me.  Does anyone know how to make it? Would I just cut out alot of triangles and sew two sides together and then insert it inbetween the top and backing?   Huh  Any tips would be appreciated
4  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Soda + cake mix = ? on: July 01, 2008 07:59:03 PM
ive had cake made with mix and a can of soda at a bunch of tupperware parties.  This reminded me of another cake my granny made the other day.  Just get a angel food cake mix and a can of cherry pie filling and mix together and bake.  It was really good.

i love scrappy quilts! i also like how you tied it...it makes it look vintage-y...my great grandma tied her quilts a lot. it looks really awesome...have fun snuggling up with it!
Yeah thats where I got the idea, my great grandmas quilts.  She always tied them too.  Plus its alot easier than quilting it!  Wink

Thanks everyone!  I gave the quilt to my mom....well she practically said she was gunna take it anyways lol   So I HAVE to make myself another one.  Anyone got a pattern to recommend for a beginner? I got the pattern for this one from the Better Homes and Gardens 101 full-size Quilt Blocks and Borders.  This one was called Ticking Stripes.

This is my first quilt ever that I made from a bunch of weird scraps I had in my stash.  I think it turned out alright considering I didnt even know what I was doin.  I cant wait to start on another one, this time with matching fabrics and everything.

10  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: wanting a mohawk, needing a hair spay/gel on: April 30, 2008 09:21:11 AM
i used to use the got2b products too.  I used the glue and the freeze spray . worked wonders for me.  Id straighten my hair (its naturaly curly)  then just work a little glue into the roots and tease it and then spray a couple layers of the freeze spray over the whole thing.
