what about that place we went to in Rhode Island?

are the tears really that bad? have you take it to a tailor?  i had a dress repaired that ripped from the knee to the ankle, and you couldn't tell unless you were had it right in your face.

Leah, maybe The Friendly Toast would host? It is the epitome of kitsch.
23  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Re: Unmentionables at craft fairs and another question on: March 15, 2006 05:01:52 PM
the entire booth next ot me at the chicago renegade craft fair was handmade underwear.  they even had "models" walking around.  no one complained that i heard.

I wouldn't say "proceeds" but say "profits" instead.  that implies that you will be reimbursed for your supplies.

25  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Re: Craft Fairs and Handbags? on: February 23, 2006 06:19:50 PM
depending on how big the fair is, i've sold between 25-75.
most commonly, i would estimate 40 per day. are you selling just bags?  if you have the opportunity & ability to, i would suggest making some other things to mix in.  its way easier to sell something for $1-5 than it is to sell a bag for $30+

The Larz Anderson Museum in Brookline has a really nice lawn area/building, but its kind of pricey.  They even used to have an ice skating rink, but I'm not sure if they still use it.

The DeCordova is nice, but pricier...

Really, any museum is fun to have an event at...ooo! The Fuller Craft Museum!  That would rock.
