I finished up some crochet projects so there is a little less yarn shoved in my craftroom.

Baby sandles from some leftovers, it didn't use quite as much as I was hoping so I still have some of the green left. The pink was passed onto me in a swap I think and I have some project ideas for what is left.

Baby ripple blanket. This pattern is incredible simple yet I still managed to mess it up, I started skipping one stitch instead of two in the valleys which caused the sides of the peaks to be different sizes and not lay quite flat. That's what happens when the show I am watching is too interesting, lol. I realized what was happening but didn't want to rip it out so I just started skipping two stiches again, since the different sizes happen uniformly I decided it can just be a happy accident. Used up two skeins of Bernat baby coordinate.

43  Celtic cable hooded scarf (Yay I'm finished!! Pic heavy) in Knitting: Completed Projects by lady4feet on: October 06, 2013 11:53:49 AM
My Husband really liked a hood I made myself that had some basic cables and asked me if I could make similar one for him. Only he wanted a hooded scarf and a different hood shape and for the cables to meet up differently. So a totally different project.

I found this pattern http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/simple-celtic-cable on ravelry and loved it. Although I have done several patterns with cables they were no where this advanced. When I first started the project I had to have silence and it still took me almost 15 minutes to finish a row. It took me a year to finish the whole thing, working off and on, mostly off. I even blocked this project, I feel so accomplished  Cheesy

The scarf portion is a basic 6 stitch twist cable (I don't know if it has a proper name), the Celtic cable then another twist cable, I also did a few rows of seed stitch along the ends. The hood is seed stitch with a braid cable along the bottom. I finished it all up with a single crochet around the edges. Overall I am very happy with it, the only thing I would do differently is I would leave more stitches between the twist cable and the Celtic cable. I put 2 purl stitches and I think it looks smooshed even after blocking.

I used 6 skeins of Lions Brand Alpine Wool in Barley color.

All layed out

Sushi approves

I put so much work in this I am tempted to move to a colder climate just so my Husband can wear it more often. We live in south GA and we are still having 80 degree days, I worked up a sweat just modeling it to take the pictures  Roll Eyes

Smeddley try working there!  Cheesy actually I think sometimes it helps because I get so tired of organizing and putting things up that I don't want to drag any of it home with me.

Well here is my first destash project. I vaguely remember cutting out the pattern a few years ago and I found it again while going through a box of fabric. I really wanted to make a Hermione doll (I had several accessories planed out in my head) but I didn't have any yarn that could work for her hair so I stuck with Harry.

That1girl- I love your vest.

redstar - what a wonderful sister you are! I love all the onsies.

This week I made a cover for one of my dogs chairs. Yes she's spoiled, it's a cheap chair from ikea that she took over. The problem was it was all white and well white doesn't last in my house nor does it flow very well in the livingroom. So in an attempt to make it blend better in our living room I pieced together a cover from left over fabric from living room projects (curtains, dog bed, patch work on a chair and ottoman said dog ripped a hole in). Oh and the stuff on the cushion is cat hair, she also likes the new cover.

Congrats rlynn on the random post win! I love your dino and I think you did a great job on the whale.

Today I made a Halloween dress. Totally inspired by a fellow craftster who made a similar one last year but I can't find her post now. Anyways pretty simple bought the giant T last year after Halloween when it was on clearance, sized it down and moved the sleeves to straps.

SilverMoon I love the batman mask/hat. Are you making them to give to a charity or are they being auctioned for charity?

I finished two projects this week so far. Some reusable wrapping and gift bags, I even made a pom-pom for embelishments.

And sweater boots. I used urban threads instructable for a basic how to. They almost got scrapped because when I first tried them they didn't fit how I wanted and looked very sloppy. But I ripped it out tried again. I'm glad I did Smiley The side

Frontish view (it's hard taking a picture of your own feet, lol)

Thank you guys for the complements!

I just finished up some boot organizers, I'm semi happy with them. For one of my pair of boots they don't make them stand up, guess I should've made them longer. For the other pairs though they work great.

What they look like out of the boot

And in the boots

I love the Andipose stuffie! I think one may find it's way onto my list Smiley

Well I've been rather absent the past few months due to living out in the woods of NM. But I did some crafting...

Learned to knit (the two girls I worked with knew how so I wasn't going to pass that opportunity up) so I made a Jayne Cobb hat

Star afghan, took up a good chunk of time, it's on my queen size bed.

Firefly cross stitch that I'm rather in love with

And since I got home a few weeks ago I finished a wreath (not happy with, oh well)

And a bacon ornament which is going to be a x-mas gift for the hubby

I've been a bit absent of late...I've been preparing to move cross country for a bit (I got a job in NM). I'm going to be super absent soon due to it, very limited internet access, basically I'm living in a tent for 6 months, lol. I'm going to take some craft supplies so hopefully I'll be able to post some stuff from my list.

I've been working on some crochet projects but I was itching to have a done project so I sat down and did a "random box" project. I ended up making a sign/bunting/something. The base is used CD's, bat scrapbook paper, yarn, orange letters cut out with the cricut, and modge podge to stick it all together. I got the idea from a blog a few months ago, she used CD's to make a happy b-day sign.
