1  Re: Back to Hogwarts 5 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Elameno on: October 21, 2014 08:13:25 PM
It's my turn to post all the goodies I received from SheridanLA! My package was a little bit delayed because my landlord is slow giving me my mail... But I finally have everything now!

First up, this lovely box that everything was packed in! I have lots of little knick knacks so this will come in handy.

Next, a cute embroidered pouch inspired by my favourite class at Hogwarts, Astronomy!

After going through everything in swap gallery so far and seeing the things I received, I've got to wonder where you guys all find such great charms for making jewellery and embellishing things!

And lastly, this adorable necklace and bracelet set inspired by my favourite spell combo, Lumos and Nox. The charm on the bracelet actually says Lumos and Nox! I love it!

I also really love the silvery tissue paper SheridanLA wrapped everything in. That'll be recycled into some future project for sure. ^^;;

Thank you so much for all the wonderful Harry Potterphenalia!

Hello! I meant to post photos of all these lovely things yesterday, and then... I ended up working a 13 hour shift instead. But here they are now!

First up, a super fun bookmark that appeals to my love The Haunted Mansion and Peter Pan!

Next, some beautiful magnets! I them love so much. One is It's A Small World concept art by Mary Blair, who I love, and is very appropriate because my kitchen is covered in her Small World artwork! The other magnet actually made me feel a little teary eyed--I just finished my second contract working in the Canada Pavilion in EPCOT in Walt Disney World at the end of May, and this little maple leaf magnet is actually a close up photo of the maple leaf detailing on the fence in front of World Showcase Lagoon next to the Canada Pavilion. I used to see people stop to take photos of it all the time--you weren't the only one who really liked it, mthrasher138! Thank you so much! It's the smallest thing you sent me but I treasure it.

Next up, The Boss Mouse! mthrasher138 made me a fun set of Mickey Mouse cards to mail to all my friends. I have a lot of pen pals that will appreciate these!

And lastly, the crowning glory of this swap package. When I pulled his out of the box, I believe my exact words to the empty room were, "Oh my God. This is the best thing that was ever made." No exaggeration! I love it so much! THE WILDERNESS MUST BE EXPLORED!

I'm going to rearrange my walls a bit so I can hang it in a place everyone will see it right away! Thank you so much for such an awesome package, mthrasher138!

At long last! I received my package from jeannebaby1 on Wednesday, and I finally found the cord to hook up my camera to my computer so I can upload photos!

Lots of sparkly and dangly things for hanging from windows and keychains and such, and some for around wine glasses, I think!

A large flowery tote, a cute little zip up pouch (I love the fabric for that one!), and a roll up storage pouch.

Some lovely coaster/pot holders which will look nice with my Small World tea set.

And extras! Fun stickers, and a keychain!

Thanks for the fun swap~! Smiley

missmelmarie, you are AMAZING! So much cool stuff! I love it all~! You outdid me like WHOA!

I now have my very first hoop for my future hoop wall, and it is so cute! I love the little owl in his tree. <3

Next up, a vintage looking zip pouch covered in quotes from my all time favourite guy, Mr. Walt Disney! I think I might use this to carry trading pins the next time I'm in the parks.

And these mittens! They are epic! Made from recycled sweaters! And SO COMFORTABLE. Since I'm moving back to the cold cold city of Ottawa where winter SUCKS, my hands will appreciate them. Smiley

This... kind of made my life. A felted Chewbacca! I can't even--! It's just--! <3

Lots of fun extras~! A bunch of patches and even some Little Mermaid fabric.

And last but not least, this wonderful Tinker Bell tote! It's so adorable, and the perfect size for carrying my lunch. ^^

THANK YOU FOR THE AWESOME STUFF, MISSMELMARIE! No seriously, the only thing more awesome than this swap package is you. <3

My package from My_RubySlippers has arrived! And it is filled with wondrous and beautiful things!

First up, this fantastic bag, with silhouettes of Sherlock and John from the BBC series. I love that she cut the silhouettes out of a patterned felt, and that it reminds me of the wallpaper in their flat~! (I have a strange obsession with it...)

There's also this FANTASTIC knitted deerstalker. The hat that lives in infamy. It fits like a dream~! And is of course perfect for yucky cold winters. Smiley Did you just make up a pattern yourself???

I also received these adorable knitted fingerless mitts. I can't quite decide on what colour they are--sometimes they look blue, sometimes they look grey, sometimes they're practically white! But whatever they are, they're cute. Thank you!

And finally, since I have the hat, the bag, and the mitts, the only thing I need to complete my sleuthing ensemble would be a magnifying glass... But there's one of those too, in the form of this fun necklace!

Thank you so much for all the great stuff, My_RubySlippers! It's impossible for me to pick a favourite, it's just all so cool! THANK YOU~!!

10  Re: Steampunk Ornament Swap Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Elameno on: January 05, 2012 10:39:13 AM
My final ornament, from Craftsunderground! I received it just before Christmas, but I went on vacation and haven't had a chance to post a photo until now! I'm absolutely in love with it--I've already designed an entire outfit around it, including goggles. Tongue Now when the girls at work are trying to explain the steampunk genre to customers at our bookstore, they can just point to me.

In case you're having trouble reading it, the ribbon says First Place, TransContinental Airship Race.

Thank you so much Craftsunderground, I love it!
