1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / Re: cat pillows - tutorial added, sort of! on: February 23, 2006 12:17:50 PM
I've seen a few people talk about how they've seen similar pillows in stores and online- here's just a few stores I literally stumbled upon that carry them:

$40 at Uncommon Goods

$84 Doe at Environment 337

Your cat is definitely the best!

I love these!  Is it argyle fleece?

This is definitely not my style of art, but wow, it's very cool.  I can admire the inspiration and effort you put into these creations  Smiley
4  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Re: bounced checks on: October 24, 2005 09:58:39 AM
I definitely think the idea of putting up a sign for "returned check fee" would discourage the bad people who might think writing checks that will bounce at a craft fair is the way to go.

Has this actaully happened to anyone though?  It just seems so lame that people would go through the hassle of writing a bad check at a craft show...that's pretty low.
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Make-up bag of sample fabric pieces on: October 11, 2005 10:57:27 AM
That fabric is gorgeous!!  In early spring my friend and I designed our own bags at 1154 Lill Studio (in Boston) and she created a hobo bag withc fabric that looks strikingly similar to yours!  It's beautiful.

I love the fabric square idea, it's something I've been wanting to do for soo long.  I'm also so impressed by your picture display and its symmetry!  Nice job Smiley

The picture looks like something straight out of Urban or Anthropologie.  The background, the outfit- perfect!
9  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: i'm new, some of what i have done...a lot of pics fyi. on: September 16, 2005 07:37:58 AM
Wow, I love the umbrella girl!  I have been trying to find something very similar to that for a while now.  Did you design it freehand?

Also, love the dinosaur stencil because you see it at first and think it looks cool, but then you look again and realize its a dinosaur and it makes you giggle a little Smiley

Post more pics when you have completed more shirts!
10  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: Original James Dean Stencil on: September 16, 2005 07:22:15 AM
What a gorgeous James Dean shirt...stupid question though...what exactly is stencling?  I am trying to figure out all of the different lingo and I think that stencling is where you paint on the fabric using a plastic or paper stencil that you have cut out...is this right or am I totally off base?

Check this out and all your questions will be answered...

And then this one when you're ready to make a stencil....
