101  Re: Geisha ATC swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by squirrelgirl on: December 03, 2006 07:21:34 PM
Edward_Victor asked me to post the card he received. I based my ATC's on a book of old Japanese prints of geishas. I thought originally that we would send 3 to one person, so my three connect. Here is the far left card on my triptych.

I found a use for fun fur (mainly because my cat can't really complain about it)! Macky totally loves his little sweater and gets compliments on it all the time. Here it is:

Ta dah!

I received two fantabulous cards this weekend. On the left is "sushi" by sissychrissy1 and on the right is "Geisha" by pjmclnj. These two are so beautiful! I opened one and I thought "ohh. This might be my favorite so far." Then I opened the other and I couldn't decide!

In other news I had the hardest time falling asleep last night. I kept on thinking about the 6 other cards that haven't made it yet to their owners. It's been over a week! I'm getting freaked out because  I worked so hard on them. You ladies can relate, right?

I received a card yesterday from betsuhi and a card today from alteredmommy!

Betsushi made the blue one on the left to fit the theme of pin-up girls. The one on the right was made by alteredmommy for "geisha."

Everyone is so talented here!

Yesterday I received a Andy Warhol ATC from Sarafina65. When I first opened it I thought "Whoa. This ATC is way too big!" But it was just the really neat card that Sarafina65 had put my ATC in!

I wish all sunsets were hot pink like this one. Those are my favorite. Thanks Sarafina65! Now I'm off to find a use for that Warhol shoe card.  Roll Eyes

PS- watch out ladies I sent out all of my ATC's today (except AlteredMommy's 2 cards. Those are going out tomorrow!).

Last night I received not one, but 2 cards from OriginalYouth! The themes were sushi and the letter A.

Two little beauties, huh?

These are my first ATC's EVER! Thanks OriginalYouth! They are fantabulous.

109  Re: Butterfly beaded art doll craftalong in Craftalongs by squirrelgirl on: May 11, 2006 03:32:49 PM
Hello! I saw this thread and didn't even have time to join in the craftalong. I whipped out this doll in 3 evenings.I decided to make this beaded butterfly doll for my mom for Mother's Day. Except instead of a butterfly I'm telling her it's an "angel" doll. My mom has this angel tree in her house (it's a ficus or something) that she has hung all these little angel charms in. So I made her a new angel for her tree.

Here it is in progress

AND finished!

Everyone's dolls are just beautiful. I hope mine looks as nice.

110  bam, biff, pow bookshelf in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by squirrelgirl on: May 05, 2006 07:41:48 PM
Hey! Mt husband got a free bookshelf from his day job at a law firm and decided we could use it in our comic book store. But, it was one of those really ugly "build it yourself" type bookcases. Like this:

So one day later, 2 bottles of modge podge and about 5 comics, ta dah!

It almost hurts your eyes to look at it.
