I saw a call for a Fairy Tale Swap Round 2 at the end of the round 1 topic, so I thought it deserved its own thread.

Anyone down for this?  I would happily join, and I might even be up for organizing if anyone else is interested.

What do you think?

13  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Books and Booze on: October 18, 2007 07:35:27 PM
Here are a couple of shirts I made with inke transfer pens for my two best friends (and parents of my godson).

Reading is Sexy for my favorite librarian (I also made a pink one for me  Wink):

And for her husband:

In the small print it actually says "Look at Good Time Charlie. He knows that... Nothing Beats Booze"  He's not a lush or anything, but he really appreciates this kind of thing.
14  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / More Onesies for Baby Fox on: October 18, 2007 07:26:09 PM
Here are some more onesies I stenciled for my little godson Fox.  He's 4 months right now.

Here's a little mushroom design on the front and back:

Here's a little space invasion design.  It was inspired by his dad's love of all things UFO.

And, my little caterpillar.  It stretches around to the back, so here are a couple of views.
15  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Onesies for my Godson on: October 18, 2007 07:17:38 PM
Here are 2 onesies I made with ink transfer pens for my godson Fox.  He's about 4 months old now.

This first one is Max from Where the Wild Things Are (my favorite children's book) and on the back it says, "Let the wild rumpus start!"

The second ink transfer one I did is a volume knob turned all the way up.  It was inspired by a giant outburst he had the last time I saw him.
16  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Help with Dread Falls on: October 09, 2007 04:48:51 AM
I am just getting started making dread falls, and I was wondering if there is a way to make/wear them in a way where I don't need something like a scarf or goggles to cover the front.

Are there extra pieces one can make?  Is there a special technique for a different kind of fall for the front?

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.  I've looked around the internet and just can't seem to find an answer.
17  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Let's Swap Dread/Hair Falls on: October 09, 2007 03:40:25 AM
Now this may be crazy, but what about a dread/hair falls swap?

I'm just getting started making falls, and I think it would be great to swap falls and see what everyone is up to.

Also, how rockin' would that gallery be?  Cheesy

Anyone up for it?  I volunteer to organize if there is interest (unless someone else desperately wants to organize  Wink).
18  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Witch/Wicca/Pagan Swap Round...6, I think? on: October 04, 2007 06:10:57 PM
How's about another pagan swap?  It's a bit too late for Samhain, but Yule is just around the corner.

Whatcha think?  (And I do volunteer to organize... Smiley)
19  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Death and Taxes on: February 10, 2007 08:11:09 PM
I'm helping to put together a party to promote  a roller derby bout with the theme "Death and Taxes."  It's a pep rally, really.  I have no idea where to start (and working with a budget of $30...yes 30 dollars).

I'm trying to get a venue to donate space (which I probably can), but where should I go from there?  It needs to really reflect the rockin' rollergirl attitude while maintaining the pep rally pizazz and "Death and Taxes" theme.

So does anyone have ideas about decorations, fun fundraiser stuff, slogans, random thoughts that could help me?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me out with this party!!!  I know there are so many awesome craftsters out there who can help.
20  Texas / Texas: Southeast / SAN ANTONIO CRAFT FAIR!!! on: November 09, 2006 08:12:18 PM
I just found out about this new craft fair in San Antonio coming up on December 03.  It's pretty small, and it's the first time for it.  But, it's pretty cheap at $20 for a table (8ft rectangle or large round).  It's sponsored by the South San Antonio High School Marketing Education Group.  They're trying to get it set up and promoted, and they need vendors.  I figured I'll set up a table since they're so cheap, and I thought the hipper crafty goods produced on craftster would sell pretty well with that younger crowd (and whoever else shows up).  I'm not affiliated with the group or even that school (I'm a teacher at an elementary in the district), I'm just going to buy a table, but I thought some of the folks around here might be interested, especially if it's close to your first time to set up a booth (it's my first time).

Anyway, they just sent out the info to all South San ISD staff and want to know what kind of interest there is very quickly so they can start promotion of the event.  If you're interested, PM me, and I can hook you up with the right people.  Smiley
