191  First Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by carolmb on: May 31, 2012 05:04:17 PM
Greetings,

Well after years of saying "Am gonna teach myself to do this" I finally have started.  Learning a block here and block there.  Started at the first of the year.

I have the start of one.  Now just have to add the board and get down to the quilting.

I think it turned out well for teaching myself.

well and wonderment

Thank you so much Ban88!! I love everything!

I love to cross-stitch it's my fall back too craft. I seem to always have one going by the chair. And twisters? how did you know?
I am sure I will be putting the wooden beads to use in no time. I think the painted flowers on them are so full of spring.

First let me say the green in the throw! Amazing! perfect! So soft.  I have it folded on the countertop in the picture. It now has it's new home on the back of one of the chairs so I can snuggle up while reading.

The Candles are great, I hope everyone can read the Etching (The green/eucalyptus "Well and Wonder", the brown/Jasmine "Love and Peace")

And the lovely soap, I thinking celtic knot-work is one of the simple beauties!

And so many first for you, I am truly honored and very happy you took the time and effort for me!

Thank you so very much, I am grinning like a silly child

Greetings,

I did finally manage to make a hat my daughter would wear.

I made this and I didnt like the way it joined together with the running stitch. I think if i do another one. I will use the single Crochet I read about in a different pattern. Might look better

Greetings,

I thought I would add some better images of the 3d stars. I still think I will retry them with smaller beads.

197  Stars in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by carolmb on: January 28, 2012 09:30:37 AM
Greetings,

I was playing around with some wire and beads last month and came up with the following two pair of earrings.

The first came out nice.

The second I came up with the idea from a decor I made for my tree only tried to make it smaller. I still need to work on using smaller beads and wire.

198  Learning something new in Crochet: Completed Projects by carolmb on: January 28, 2012 09:26:43 AM
Greetings,

Well last month I figured I would try teaching myself to Crochet. I learning a very important lesson.

Check the Gauge!

First try at making a hat was far to small. At least my daughters bunny could use it.

The next was to big

At least I can laugh.  I shall continue to learn
