1  Harley Quinn Deadpool Heart Blanket in Crochet: Completed Projects by CraftyMamaBee on: December 10, 2018 04:28:20 PM
First off I don't think I have posted on here in over a year! That's crazy to think! But this fall my Best Friend, whom I call my #2 moved from Southern California to Alabama... the move has been hard on us both. I wanted to make her something not only as a House Warming but also for Christmas. I had NEVER done C2C crochet and thought it couldn't be too hard (Which it isn't!)... I used Pinterest and found this pattern by TwoMagicPixels that was a heart with Harley Quinn and Deadpool.. (her and her husband's favorite characters). Their new home had a theatre room that was red (for Crimson Tide, but they decorated in Harley and Deadpool)

What I didn't expect was for how big it would end up being. It is sitting on top of my Cal King bed in the photo. For a starting C2C pattern it was great because there were only 3 colors and they tended to be in large groupings. It took about a month to make. I listened to many books on tape while working on this project and listened to Alien Vs. Predator on the TV probably 10 times! I don't want to see red, black, or white yarn for awhile right now.

Although it took forever I couldn't not share it because I can't show her until she gets it in the mail and she's not on here! I really like the C2C style and will probably do more of them in the future because really you can take any cross stitch pattern and made it into Corner 2 Corner!

Thanks for checking it out! I had to share it somewhere it would be appreciated!
It was made with Red Heart Super Saver Yarn. Which made it very cost effective because I used ALOT of yarn! Thank God for Jumbo Super Saver Skeins!

Hey everyone! I am so sorry I'm late posting my pictures, but I've had flu, colds, pink eye, and my husband having surgery... I'm glad I prepared for Christmas early because I'm definitely losing the spirit now....

But here is the fabulous gift that I received from Whistley!

My girls were so excited for their own stockings full of stickers and painting and coloring and cute peeler princesses in Elsa and Belle... They ran off and have been hidden ever since! They loved it!

Here is some more detailed stuff! The little sewn bag I use to hold my fruit for snacks for my 2 year old. And my hot tea is sitting on the Elf Mug Rug with a NARWHAL on it!!!!

By far one of my top 5 holiday movies!

I'm in love with Tsum Tsum and these are on my girls little tree in their room now. I also received a Tsum Tsum Ribbon keychain that is in my car with my house keys on it.... Yeah I keep my keys in my car...

I LOVE Groot and this little hoop was just perfect! I also got the stuffed Groot Tsum Tsum and I've been looking all over for him! I also received a bracelet with little Christmas lights on and bells it that definitely matches my Groot Hoop!

All the little extras and snacks were delicious! The little Santa lights and ALL the stickers! Princess Ribbon! It was a welcome surprise! I am so happy I waited for this swap!

6  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Round 12 (signups thru Oct. 24; sendout Dec.6) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by CraftyMamaBee on: November 09, 2016 09:56:19 PM
We have a fake tree. We've only been married for six years so our decorating is still pretty minimal. But with a 6 year old (yes, if you do the math we created our daughter the day we got engaged... now that's a story) and a 2.5 year old we don't have much at the bottom! A family tradition is to go to Pier1 the day after Christmas and buy their expensive ornaments at half off! So we are slowly filling our tree with nicer ornaments instead of my family's castoff ornaments they gave us!

I would love a tree that looks like it came out of a catalog but I'm realistic. I love our ornaments of our favorite things!

On a side note I sliced my finger taking the apple core from daughter's snack from the apple corer I have.... needless to say the stitches and finger splint might be putting a temporary damper on some of my Crafting..... The splint mightjust have to come off to see... thank goodness I'm a lefty so I can still write just fine!

7  Re: 4x6 Art Swap Fall 2016 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by CraftyMamaBee on: November 03, 2016 09:05:08 AM

This is the beautiful art I received yesterday! Sorry I didn't post it then, but the 24-Hr Flu has hit the household... Unfortunately I had it first so it might technically be my fault  Wink.

I love the colors! It's being displayed in my studio right now! "Find your own Path".

Thank you so much I love it!

Here is the flag I made with my five year old! I used fabric covered with clear guesso and crayons. I am new to guesso and thought this was something we could do together! I used the word present to remind myself to live in the day everyday. I suffer from losing time and being afraid to just live everyday sometimes and this is a reminder to continue to fight everyday!

I received from cmarion and she went above and didn't just send one flag but 2! She used the words "Bliss" and "Moments"
My word for the year is to be more blissful and you enjoy the moment!

Thank you so much for the flags! I love them! They are already hanging.
