1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Just Another Granny Blanket... on: July 25, 2013 08:44:27 PM
Hello! Its been a while since I posted last and I've been making a ton of stuff but my favourite project (and one I'm most proud of) is my first full size blanket, so I thought I'd share just that one with you... Its made of 224 squares and is big enough to go atop a double bed. I'm not 100% sure of how long it took me to do, but I'm thinking its close to 80 hours (I started dawdling in the middle, so some of the squares took a bit longer to finish. I'm not good at staying focused on big projects :s)

Anyhow, let me know what you think, good or bad :p

The colour is pretty close in the photo, I used sirdar snuggly do yarn Smiley

Thanks!! I've got a short attention span at times and after making some bits that took a lot of dedication these were pretty refreshing to make Cheesy

Thanks Cheesy

Imagine, no pattern... I hardly ever use a pattern for stuff made like this :s
4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Goldilocks finger puppets on: February 27, 2013 08:41:54 PM
I'm still burning through my scraps while I'm waiting on a yarn delivery and tonight I finished up my first finger-puppet set Smiley

I made Goldilocks first and while I'm pleased with her, I'm not sure I'll leave her as part of this set. I love how the bears turned out with that kinda old school vintage-y look to them, which I hadn't planned when the idea first popped into my head but as with alot of things I make they sort of told me how they were gonna look as I made them (I'm certain many, many people know how it is Cheesy) But anyhow, 'cause of how the bears turned out I'm thinking that a different looking goldilocks would fit in better with them, so I might make another yet...

I think Pops' flat cap and scarf are cute though, and I accidentally stitched Baby Bears muzzle just off centre, but I left it and finished the features and I think it gives him a little cheeky personality as he isn't just regimentally staring forward...

(Without filters and such)

One thing is for sure though, I hate doing hair! Latch hook/rug making will never become a favoured past-time of mine, that's for sure, lol!

As always I appreciate your thoughts, good or bad Smiley Thanks!

I find it sooooo hard to get rid of yarn, particularly if its longer than a yard or two and over the last year I've accumulated a whole draw of scrap balls and long tails :s I'm trying to use some up at them moment so I've made a ton of generic flowers, hearts and bows (that are slowly becoming hair clips) before they bored me and then decided to make something bright and cheery.... I thought I'd share 'em with you guys and offer a quick reminder that spring is just about the corner and it'll soon be time to put all those awesome handmade woolly hats, scarves and mitts back in the draw till next winter Cheesy

9  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Raa Raa The Noisy Lion on: January 03, 2013 07:52:13 PM
I've been really neglectful of craftster just lately, but I've been beavering away to make a ton of things (particularly before Christmas)!!
I thought I would share one of my favorites from my recent projects with you Smiley I rarely use patterns for anything I make especially with Ami's or stuffies even if there is a pattern available ( which is probably just making things harder for myself, but nvm :p) so I'm particularly pleased with my Raa Raa Smiley Anyhow, I'll shut up and show you it now Smiley

I made a Crocky to go along with him ( you can find him on my blog pagehttp://kraftyness.wordpress.com/2012/10/29/crocky-and-raa-raa-the-noisy-lion-2/) and even wrote the pattern as I went (can you believe??!! Cheesy)

As always I'd totally love your opinions and c&c Cheesy
