Got an ENTIRE week off of work and day #1 produced this little creature which i call "cat core". He's pretty metal so he might cut ye. I got the idea from a book of mine, "palm-size stuffies". Its Japanese and I got it from ebay for one bajillion clams so I BETTER use it.

132  Pill a day keeps the babies away in Needlework: Completed Projects by rangerbeth on: May 16, 2006 12:47:24 PM
Made for a friend's birthday. Suggested use: hang over new boyfriends love nest. The frame is from a thrift store, pretty sweet find but had some hardcore glueing issues. The mat is a painted cereal box, and the fabric is strawberry printed from a thrifted dress.

133  Tha pair in CHALLENGE 11 ENTRIES by rangerbeth on: May 01, 2006 10:32:25 PM
This once shadowbox of green pears (that admittedly wasn't really horrible) turned into a set of boobs. Ive already given this away to a pair of bachelors who got their first house. So... frame painted gaudy gold, matt painted whorish black, and pears turned into... well pears really. It started out harmless then started to look like a bloody mess.

134  Re: *pointy kitty* in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by rangerbeth on: May 01, 2006 07:31:26 PM
I jumped on the kitty train! This was a VERY easy pattern. I like his big-headedness. I used brown fur and his head sort of resembles a merkin. Ooops.

Oh my gosh! I just returned home to recieve my package from grannystylee and I am totally blown away! We were COMPLETELY on the same page, I even made her a bib shirt! (which i slaughtered and had to make something new). Anyhoo, the tshirt is rawkin and I dig the pins really hard. Sooooo, here are photos of my lovelies!

First we have the shirt. Bib on front (eh hem... notice the cute little star buttons),  "bike for peace" and "flush less often" on the back (genius).

Next we have the cutest little pins made of all recycled materials, she even threw in some neat stickers.

And last we have THREE sets of stationary envelopes. I like the music ones. And the map ones.. and the magazine ones. Well shoot....

Hoorahhh for a successful swap!

137  Overdone (but real easy) button necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by rangerbeth on: January 09, 2006 10:42:46 AM
I decided to jump on the button train and make a necklace out of these really purdy buttons given to me through a personal swap. The intsructions are semi-taken from a free leaflet from Hobby Lobby. If anyone wants them, I would be happy to scan or photograph them.

138  Most likely to secede in Needlework: Completed Projects by rangerbeth on: January 02, 2006 11:20:28 AM
I found this saying on some tshirt. I like to give cred where cred is due, but so help me I have no idea where it came from. Anyway, this is a gift for a friend of mine, I believe he might go xcorex and put it on the back of his leather jacket.

I'm really new to embroidery, so I would love some ideas. Thanks!

139  Re: Halloween Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by rangerbeth on: October 19, 2005 03:39:22 PM
I got my package from Witchbelle4u!!! She was so incredibly thoughtful. I don't get trick or treaters so she sent me one! (excuse shite pics, i will get my camera out and take better ones in the daylight)
He's made of paper towel tubes, a ghostie sheet costume, REAL baby sweatsuit and shoes! He's even got a little felt arm sticking out with a treat  bag. So cute.

My other fab goods include a mini felt ghostie, mini witch's hat pin cushion, stickers, felt patches, candy corn plushie, halloween bead mixture, and a witches hat lavender bag (embroidered)

Thanks again!

140  Re: Recycled Halloween- Post your ideas in Halloween Decor and Parties by rangerbeth on: October 13, 2005 11:26:39 AM
Such great ideas tamagotchi! I immediately went on a hike to get some twigs and came up with this fall tree! Its just twigs spray painted black with "leaves" made of twisted up tissue paper glued on with a glue stick.

Keep the ideas coming! I know we have some "greens" in here!
