3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Dangerous yarn? Or, can yarn kill? (aside from hanging people with it of course) on: June 20, 2006 06:31:20 PM
I dun think so, like the other's were saying it's probably because of the plastic.

For that mater, there's A TON of stuff that people are saying links to cancer (everything from hair dye, to french fries, salad dressing and nail polish)  *shrugs*  Iunno, personally until they give me a 100% guarantee that this and this causes cancer, I'm just blowing it off.

Cute, gotta love the fluffy baby shoes.  ^_^

*nod*  I'm currently working on an instant gratification project: an ipod cover!  Dude, they're small, quick and an excellent excuse to use a more expensive/fluffy yarn.. Eeeeeeee...   Cheesy

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Quicky Knifty Knitter Hats! Just in time for... summer? on: June 13, 2006 02:21:34 PM
co cute!  Grin i barely use my knifty knitter but i think i will more when fall and winter come around. heehee... my fave of yours is the one that you made for your grandma!

as for the patterns, i wish there were more ways to use a knifty knitter... mine just hang there on the doorknob of my crafting room waiting for either fall or more uses.

maybe you could make a light openwork sweater with your loom like knitty's tubey? http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter05/PATTtubey.html tubey is basically twp tubes seamed up to make a sweater. Smiley

so many hats! good job  Kiss

Btw, awesome hats!  Love the one with the ladder type yarn.  ^_^

Yeah, patterns are hard to come by.  One just has to be extreamly creative...  So far, I found this one and made about a dozen wrist warmers using the blue loom.  Very quick and easy.  ^_^

Also, I ended up making a shrug of my own pattern too:

Awesome scarves!

Maybe try using a different yarn for the flowers?  (like a boa or ribbon type).  Other than that, it looks totally great to me...  Grin
