1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Re: Foomin - Needle felted Katamari doll on: July 31, 2011 03:50:38 PM
Thank you! c: You should definitely give it a try, it's a very rewarding craft.
2  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Foomin - Needle felted Katamari doll on: July 28, 2011 10:04:42 AM

This is Foomin, my favourite of the Prince's many cousins from the Katamari series of video games. She's my first completed needle felting project, although I did start two others in between starting and finishing this one. She's not very photogenic, (Or maybe I'm just bad at taking photos. Sorry for all the blurryness!) but she was a lot of fun to make and I feel like I've learned a lot from making her. The hardest part was by far the teensy details, with actually finding the right colour of wool roving coming in at a close second. The only store I know that sells it unfortunately has a very limited selection. :c Either way, I am pretty pleased with the final result.

More pictures!

4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Hippy Dolls on: July 28, 2011 04:05:37 AM
Those are awesome! I love the fact that the thickness and texture of Willow's hair makes it look like she has dreads, like a true hippie. Cheesy Their outfits are gorgeous too~
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: A lovely set for a knitter/crocheter + a tutorial on the way! on: July 20, 2011 02:05:42 AM
I'm absolutely loving the fabric as well, it makes me happy just to look at it. c: Everything looks really great! I'm sure your relative is very excited about it, I know I would be.
6  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: Peter Pan painted shoes on: July 19, 2011 09:29:46 AM
They look great! c: What kind of markers did you use? I've been wanting to try this, but I don't know if the regular fabric pens I have would do the trick.
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Cristaria lace shrug-- Free tutorial & pattern! on: July 19, 2011 09:24:01 AM
That's a lovely little shrug! Very nice tutorial too, wish I knew how to knit so I could try my hand at it. c:
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Crocheted bottle holder on: July 19, 2011 09:20:08 AM
For your first crocheted project you've done bloody well! The fact that you also changed the pattern for your first go at it is brilliant too.
It's a very pretty little bottle holder and you should be very proud of it.
P.S. Love the scrappy fabric bow ;P

Thank you! c: Like I said, I'm not sure the pattern changes actually had any effect on the finished product, but I'm still proud I managed to at least not screw the whole thing up.  Wink
9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: The Wee Mystic's House on: July 18, 2011 03:13:08 PM
If I had to guess I'd say it was maybe around 45 hours... probably more. I'm really slow at crafting though and spend way too much time fiddling about  Wink
Well, I wouldn't say 45 hours is that bad for such an amazing amount of detail, I certainly would've guessed a higher number. c: Great job in any case!
10  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Imaginary friends on: July 18, 2011 02:41:26 PM
I agree with the poster that said it reminded them of Where the Wild Things Are. I really like the colours in this, very subtle. I also like that there isn't much in the background, it adds to the feeling that the girl is alone in her own little world with the monsters.
