1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / make a new coat of two old ones on: November 24, 2012 02:21:11 PM
I thought that I would do what I saw at shopwindows; put different coloured and textured sleeves on the body part. It took a whole afternoon, many angry words slipped out of my mouth, the fabrics were too thick for my tiny machine, I had to handsaw some parts, so it was terrible. But at the end I feel happy, because I see he actually likes the result. Smiley

details, tutorial here:

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / how to make a simple man's sweater a little more exciting on: November 18, 2012 12:00:38 AM
My boyfriend likes stylish clothes and I sew a lot in general, but I always find it much harder to do something for a man. They are bigger, they can not wear cute stuff and the color and pattern choices are more limited too.

This time we bought 2 simple, thin sweaters to make them cooler somehow. I did the first one.

A little more details on my new blog!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / summer projects for my sister on: October 22, 2012 01:47:39 AM
My 18 years old sister visited me a few months ago, we had so much and we sewed some clothes for her. Smiley

a pretty dress with 2 layers; one comfortable cotton and lace on the top

here we made the skirt, unfortunately it is not so even Smiley

pants what go perfectly with her shirt

simple miniskirt

a little trickier miniskirt, supermini Smiley

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / turquoise sweater on: October 22, 2012 01:19:47 AM
Simple sweater with the same fabric belt, just inside out. I love it, do you?

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / crazy space sweater for man on: August 25, 2012 12:36:29 AM
My boyfriend is always asking me to sew some stuff for him too, but I always find it difficult not to get girly. But I found this striped funny fabric and then somehow it turned out to be this weird, space-age sweater for him. Smiley
What do you think?

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / decoupaging everything what I see on: August 12, 2012 10:08:09 AM
I discovered decoupaging I really enjoy it, so I cover everything with scrap newspaper, old bookpages.
So that is how I made a little pencilholder from a plastic flowerpot.

A big flowerpot is turned to be a newspaper-rack or something like that.

I also used an oatmeal container for holding little widgets on the bookcase.

And a huge box covered with IKEA pages, containing or cameras (we are oldtimy camera collectors) and it is standing on newspaper legs. Smiley

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / drawstring bags for P.E. on: August 12, 2012 09:39:10 AM
I have triplet sisters and my mom asked me if I could some simple bags for them to carry their stuff for P.E. class. So I found this easy tutorial: http://www.incolororder.com/2011/10/lined-drawstring-bag-tutorial.html
I like the results, I hope they will too.
What about you?

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / black cotton dress with a lace top on: August 10, 2012 11:26:06 AM
It is also a Burda pattern, I really like the two different fabrics on the top, I love the opening at the back and the cute button. I modified a little the skirt part of the pattern.
It is comfortable (I realized I mention it in all my topics- but it is important, right?) and I fell kinda sexy in it. Probably that is why I danced like and idiot for my sister behind the camera. Smiley

Have a nice weekend and of course comments are welcome.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / floppy pants from Burda on: August 10, 2012 11:10:18 AM

I started sewing about a year ago and I found the pattern of the first pair of pants I have sewn and I thought I would do them again to see if I improved. Actually the first time they go too big and I had no clue how to tighten them and ta-ta-ta this time the pants fit me better and I also found it easier to make them.
They are so comfortable!

Thank you for the visit, have a nice day!
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / asymmetric stripes on: July 31, 2012 10:28:59 AM
I wanted to have something asymmetric, so I decided to cut out a paper pattern this one special time (because normally I am lazy to do that) and cut up the sewing pattern to triangles and rectangles.
Then I cut up the 2 fabrics and put together the puzzlepieces together. Smiley
I am very glad with the result look and it is also super comfortable.
