I'm still thinking about this one.  What size tins does everyone else have?
My tea tins are all square and deep.  Are we only altering the outside or the inside also?

Most of my tins are 200-250g or held 20-30 sachets.  I do have a few that are bigger or smaller.  Only the outside is required but people are welcome to do the inside as well.

I am quite interested in this, but would LOVE a link to images of creative tea tin works.....

So far I've only found a few on pintrest.  Searching for "altered tea tin" picks up all other kinds of tins as well with heavy slant towards Altoids tins.  If I find more I will add on to the board, and if anyone else finds any let me know and I can add them as well!

Would there be a size limit?  I have tea tins that are from lip balm jar sized for samples to large canisters.

I am a tea lover, but nowhere NEAR the wife of a friend at work - he is the chief supplier for me.  They are fun to alter, and I love to use them for supplies.  The medium sized ones would be fun to make into diorama ornaments.

I wasn't planning on having a size limit because I have a weird range of sizes and shapes too.  I can add a minimum size if people prefer.  I haven't seen any of the tiny sample tins though, they sound cool.

I was planning on having the sign ups before I traveled for Christmas but life got in the way a bit.  I didn't bring the computer with me and I have doubts about starting on the tablet, so I will start the sign ups around new year's and still have a month of crafting time from when they end.

I have to apologize to Griminspirations for being so late with posting pictures of my wonderful package.

The box was wonderfully decorated.

It also included a matching card.

The small item was a cute felt keychain.

The most amazing piece of the package was this canvas of the boy with nails in his eyes by Tim Burton.

I love all of the little details on the canvas.  The tree is made from two colors of wire and the ornaments are actual tiny glass ornaments, and the level of detail on the boy alone is awesome.

I saved the best part of the canvas for last.  The tiny string of lights actually lights up, with both a steady on and two flashing modes.

Thank you for an amazing swap package Griminspirations!

I finished my items over the weekend only to discover all of my packing supplies are soaking wet from water leaking into the basement. So I need to go get something to pack them in this week, I hate letting finished things sit here Sad.

My original idea was functional, but only because I think most might be too deep to do shrine style.  Though I don't think it would have to be limited to functional or decorative.  There could always be a question of which someone would prefer.
