I wouldn't hesitate on buying this book. It is an excellent resource. There are a lot of great wearable patterns, and great instructions on how to make them perfect for you. I do admit I haven't made anything YET, but I have a long list. The photography is also clear and excellent, showing the garment and not just a posing model who covers up the important bits you want to see!
22  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: I've lost my knitting 'mojo'.. le sigh on: July 06, 2007 11:31:01 AM
I lost my mojo for about 6 months!! It seems to be back now. The main thing is to wait until you find a project that motivates you to pick up the needles again. Keep surfing craftster because there is always a lot of motivation Smiley

Okay, I didn't like this in the book at all, but I LOVE ASC, and this looks great! I might have to add it to the list afterall. Hrm!

25  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: what's your favourite knitting tip or trick? on: March 23, 2007 09:50:00 AM
I've taken my circular cutter on about 12 trips since 911 and I've never been stopped or questioned. Just an fyi.

You know, I've had this pattern for such a long time but never got to it. I love yours! I should dust it off!
27  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Short-sleeved Cardigan, from fitted knits on: March 21, 2007 10:28:39 AM
It looks great! I also like the colour!

Yep, start and end dates don't really happen here on craftster like on formalized KALs. That is what is so great about it!

I actually knit, washed AND dried my swatch. I got good stitch width gauge but the height isn't right. However, it goes by inches, so I should be okay.
30  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Gothy baby blanket pattern? on: February 28, 2007 01:32:19 PM
Just pick nice bright or jewel tone colours. A red lace baby blanket would be stunning. I made a nice purple one, and of course black and white always works!
