11  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: How many of you are allergic to wool? on: September 14, 2007 08:03:37 AM
I am highly allergic to wool fibers and lanolin. I don't think it is an allergy that is passed down in families. All of my family is fine with wool. You could just be sensitive to wool, or the wool your are using. Not all wool is created equal.

A bad allergy is when it cuts off your breathing and leaves welts all over your body from where it was exposed. That is me!

I think you might have enough for Fifi (french girls knit). It is really pretty and on my list of patterns to knit.

I was fully into making it until I downloaded the 19 pages as well. Oh well...I *might* do it someday, just not today.
14  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Bamboo needle sets on: August 24, 2007 09:12:06 AM
I own the plymouth set and I use it almost exclusively. I also have the denise set and needlemaster? metal set.

I just had a needle split at the bottom (I use the size 6 ALL the time) and they shipped out a replacement pair of 6's as soon as they got to my email. Great CS. I love this set.

When Webs used to carry them, they offered an addon of the larger sizes, and I got that too. I really like them, and the cord is nice and thin. Definitely worth the money, especially since they stand behind their product!

It looks really great! I had my eye on it then with all the errors in the pattern it turned me off. It looks like it is worth it though!

Ya, mine took about 3 days, however, it turned out really long (I made it to speck, and it grew because it was cotton).
