Thank you all for the well wishes regarding my eye, it is doing better and turns out was not infected... LONG story...

I received today!!!! And it was perfect timing as I have had a rough week. Last Wednesday I managed to splash very hot greasy water into my eye (my good eye of course) and did you know eyeballs can blister? Anyway, for the last couple of days have been building etc and cutting wood (yes with hardly any sight).... its infected now and just got back from Urgent Care to find my package of goodies! WOOT!!!

They are absolutely beautiful and SOOO SOFT!!! Peachessunshine you did amazing! I can feel the different stitches and lots of different textures! I will definitely be able to tell which is which Cheesy and you got my pink black and white Smiley I am so grinning from ear to ear! And OMG you made EXTRAS!

I am not sure which square belongs to which from the list just yet (I really cant see well) but I think I got them all in the pics Smiley

peachessunshine if you have better pics please by all means post them! I am aiming and shooting and hoping I got it right!

It would be much easier if I was using cotton or poly/cotton as I could tear the long strips and then just cut them into 3" pieces but this is a polyester knit so I have to cut it.

Look at it as if you have to use scissors to cut it - then you KNOW your handmade rug will last through quite a bit! I am anxious to see it finished!!!

(hah - as I am sure you are anxious to see it finished too!!!)

Here is some Before's and After's of the new floor my son and I installed (which I blogged about EXTENSIVELY!)

Breakfast Room Before

Breakfast Room After

Living Room Before

Living Room After

The whole house is about 1750 sq. ft. of living space and I could only work on it a few days at a time. I did the measuring and laying and son did the cutting (the Dremel tool is your friend!!!)

We are now working on putting in new trim and then will paint - I know some will say that is backwards (painting AFTER a new floor) but momma had the flooring first before she got the paint Smiley Besides, all the rooms she painted first before we took out the icky carpet - got totally messed up and will have to repaint the bottom half anyway... so this works out much better.

Once I know my recipient has received her granny squares from the swap, I will post pics Smiley

My last motifs are finished up today, too!  Cheesy  Printing out list to send w/them and they will be in the mail later today.  I am looking forward to seeing the motifs that I recieve and then to figure out how to make them into the cushions/pillows for the back porch....hehehehe Grin  I hope that others will post completed items or post sites that can help in the finishing process.  Any Pins or patterns to share??

HAHA - my first thought when I read this was "huh? what AM I gonna do with them???" I never got that far with the plan!!! Great idea Kittymom13! If I come across something I will post it Smiley

Kookaloo - that skirt is lovely!!!! fantastic job Cheesy especially the price!!! woot!

I know I disappeared for a bit, I haven't been working on many crafts at all, except for the crochet motif swap, otherwise I have been living back and forth between home and my mother's putting in a new floor for her. I am actually quite proud of myself for that! The floor is done and now to work on the trim and painting!

But the good news is the mugrugs I had made and then had made some for a friend - well she contacted me and said she wants to BUY more as well as her mom and sister! I am so excited Smiley

I am having to start over!!! I did the ultimate sin - put them where I could find them again (I was almost all done)... Sad    I DO have a somewhat sort of good reason, I have been living between home and my mothers putting in a tile floor (DONE! YEA!!!) and am now working on the trim, but with tearing up the floor everything has been moved - I cant find my box now!!!

But dont worry, I WILL get them done! again. sigh. Oh well, this gives me a chance to make all new mistakes with them Smiley

Fun fun fun!!!

fantasticmio - that looks too neat Smiley  My soon to be DIL had some of the pom pom yarn, she said it was much easier to knit with it than to crochet. I personally dont know as that was the first time I had seen it!

I think I put on the survey thingy that I did not care one way or another whether what kind of yarn was used Smiley I'm just tickled pink to get something in the mail that isn't a bill!
