4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Tampon Dispenser (How To) on: January 08, 2006 05:12:03 PM

I made a tampon dispenser so that I can keep them organized and in one place so that I don't lose them. The tutorial is quite large so I'll just link to it on my blog rather than re-posting it - http://www.catmorley.com/blog/project.php?id=102. Enjoy x
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Phone Charms on: January 03, 2006 06:30:20 PM
Personalise your mobile with a DIY phone charm.

1. Mould a piece of fimo in to a shape. Stick a hole through the middle of it large enough to fit a piece of cord through. Add a crystal and bake in the oven at a low heat until hard.

2. Cut a length of cord. Fold it in the middle and leave a hoop and then tie a knot. Slip the fimo bead on and then tie another knot. On each tale add a bead, bell or charm and then tie knots to secure that they don't fall off. Simple.
6  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Tofu Pitta Pockets on: November 25, 2005 02:56:51 AM
Tasty animal friendly pitta pockets.

You will need (Makes 4):
100g Tofu
100g Cous Cous (Any Kind)
4 Pitta Bread Pockets
8 Mushrooms
1 Pepper
2 Garlic Cloves
5 tbsp Red Pesto
Spices (Optional)
Sour Cream (Optional)
Olive Oil

1. Chop up your vegetables and garlic.

2. Begin preparing the cous cous. While it is cooking you can prepare the rest of the meal.

3. Fry your mushrooms in a pan over a high heat using a small drizzle of olive oil.

4. Add the peppers and garlic and fry until all the vegetables are soft.

5. Add the tofu and leave to cook over a medium heat for a few minutes. Don't add anymore oil or it will splatter up and attack you.

6. Toast the pitta in a toaster for about a minute at a medium heat setting. They will become soft and expand.

7. Add some spices of your choice to the tofu and vegetables.

8. Add the pesto and mix in.

9. Check to see if your cous cous is ready.

10. Make sure the vegetables, tofu and pesto are hot.<br clear="both">

11. Cut the pitta in half and fill each half pocket half full with cous cous and then fill with the tofu and vegetables. Add a little sour cream if you like.
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / UK Interior Design Show? on: November 22, 2005 11:45:59 PM
Okay.. I didn't really know where to put this.

Has anyone seen this show on UK TV (I'm not sure what channel think maybe one of the UKTV ones) where the presenter looks around someone's house and then finds some random on the street to come and have a look around and then give their opinion and have dinner with them? If so what is it called?

I saw one where this woman had a beautiful house filled with pretty antiques and tailors dummies. She had a copper bath in the middle of her bedroom. Anyway the person they invited for dinner didn't like her house and ended up being bitchy.

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Pimped Palm on: November 22, 2005 07:04:54 PM
I thought to myself that my palm was looking a bit boring and geeky.

So I ordered some swarovski crystals from ebay.

I covered my palm in them. However, I hadn't ordered enough.

So I ordered some more and then made them in to a flower pattern.

And then I made myself a palm organiser. (Tutorial coming soon) x
