17  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Two book purses (a clockwork grape & a little black one) on: July 07, 2006 09:10:40 AM
After looking at the amazing book purses around here, I decided to make one for myself, sure. With this objective in mind, I went with a friend to a thrift store and found the most gorgeous little purple book for about $1,00 (R$3,00 - since I'm from Brazil). It wasn't the size I wanted my purse to be, but I couldn't resist the pretty-pretty colour and texture and clockwork pattern. My friend choose a black and gold book, and I came home decided to make them The Greatest Book Purses on Earth.

Well, I spent the evening cutting the pages away (I'll possibly try to read the poor purple book, its title is "la fille pauvre") and dripping hot glue on my legs, fingers, hair and so on. They turned out pretty small, as I though they would, but they look beautiful anyway (:

Hope you like them!
