Hi Everyone!  I just finished the cutest top for my daughter and created a tutorial with a pattern if anyone else wants to try and make the top.

12  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Lemonade Stand on: June 19, 2012 09:56:28 AM
My kids had a lemonade stand this past weekend.  It was so cute!

I made the tablecloth from Ikea sheets.

The pennant banner was made from scraps from a previous quilt project.

I used printables found on the internet plus a few more I made myself in photoshop.  (I have links to the downloadable versions in my blog post.

Everything else was put together with stuff from around the house.

I blogged about it here: http://www.scatteredthoughtsofacraftymom.com/2012/06/lemonade-stand.html

13  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Sundress for Springtime on: March 20, 2012 08:02:59 AM
I just finished up a new tutorial for a child's sundress.  I used knit fabrics for the dress, but it can be made with quilting cottons or knits.  Let me know if you use the tutorial to make a sundress!

@spaz2phreek   Don't be afraid of knits, it's only the hemming that can be difficult and this project doesn't need hemming!
15  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Draped-Shawl Cardigan Tutorial Link on: February 03, 2012 07:59:07 AM
Hi everyone!  I just finished making this Draped Shawl Cardigan.  I love how it turned out, though getting to the final result did not happen how I planned.

I didn't intend for this post to be a tutorial.  I had planned on sewing up a little cardigan and just showing it off.  Ha ha ha... That didn't quite work out.

I started this cardigan using McCall's pattern 5241.

What a waste of time and fabric this pattern turned out to be. The design of this pattern is awful!  (Next time I will read the reviews before sewing a new pattern for myself.)  The construction consisted of a rectangle of fabric with holes cut near the top and sleeves attached.  It was terrible.  It was more of a wrap, not a cardigan.  No real neck area and the fit where the sleeves attached was so weird and awkward it would not stay on my shoulders.

Do not buy this pattern!  You can make your own using a shirt/cardigan you already own.  I wrote up an easy to follow (I hope) tutorial and have it posted on my blog here: http://scatteredthoughtsofasahm.blogspot.com/2012/02/draped-shawl-cardigan-pattern-review.html

20  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Dropped-Waist Knit Dress Tutorial Link with 5t pattern pieces on: November 30, 2011 11:52:51 AM
Hi everyone!  I recently finished a new tutorial for a knit dress that I wanted to share.  My daughter wears a 4/5, and I  uploaded the pattern pieces to google documents for printing.  If that is what your little princess wears, then you are in luck.  If not, you can still follow the tutorial to make your own pattern.

the link to the full tutorial pattern pieces is here:
