1  Water Bottle Carrier in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Jillinamillion on: September 01, 2015 03:03:02 AM
My daughter has been asking me to make one of these for a long time. I finally got a round to making some from a bunch of old clothes and made a tutorial too so that I don't forget how to make them! This is the one my daughter chose for herself!

3  Upcycled Unicorn Slippers in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Jillinamillion on: February 20, 2013 03:41:20 PM
My daughters had a couple of old soft hobby horses that they'd grown out of playing with, but the unicorns were too cute to get rid off - so I decided to repurpose them into slippers!

I think you could do this with other soft toys! My girls love them and I'm now wondering if they'd miss any of their other soft toys to make myself a pair...

(Tutorial and more pictures posted here: http://jembellish.blogspot.com.au/2013/02/soft-toys-to-slippers-and-upcycle.html)

I have a peg bag that belonged to my granny that finally fell apart so much I had to replace it. But I didn't want a change - so tried to make one just the same! Here it is:

More photos - including picture of the original and a tutorial on how I made it here:http://jembellish.blogspot.com.au/2012/09/peg-bag-tutorial.html

6  Umbrellas to bags in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Jillinamillion on: May 14, 2012 04:11:15 PM
My 2 daughters have grown out of their cutesy animal umbrellas, but not wanting to throw them out, I decided to convert them into useful bags!  Umbrellas provide the perfect fabric for new swimming bags - waterproof of course!!

I also posted more pictures (another umbrella too) and a tute here if anyone is interested!

7  Car organiser in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Jillinamillion on: May 01, 2012 02:56:32 AM
I hope this is in the right place here - not exactly a bag, but similar and for putting things in...

I've been wanting to make these for ages for my girls.  They used to have hanging pockets on the back of the car seats, but then their legs grew and they needed more space.  So I wanted to make something a little smaller, but somewhere for them to put all the bits and bobs you 'need' in the back of the car!!

It has one large space in the middle for sunnies, books, small toys and perhaps a small rubbish bag. Then two side pockets for a small drinks bottle and maybe a snack; then a pocket underneath for a foldable umbrella, and finally one in front for a small box of tissues!

My girls love them! and so do I! Nice to tick something off the to-do list too!

(I also posted a tutorial here http://jembellish.blogspot.com.au/2012/05/car-organiser-tutorial.html if anyone is interested!)

8  Personalised bag gift set in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Jillinamillion on: April 23, 2012 04:18:28 PM
My daughter's best friend is one of those girls who has everything and is always hard to find a gift for when it comes to her birthday.  This is what I decided to make for her this year.  The latest craze in books for young girls here in Australia is EJ12 (a schoolgirl spy). We had to buy her one of those books - so I made a gift set to carry the book and some extras too!

The Shine agency is the spy agency that EJ12 works for!

I'm really happy with how it all turned out - of course now my daughters want me to make them a set each!!

Tutorial for the set is here if anyone is interested(http://jembellish.blogspot.com.au/2012/04/personalised-gift-set-tutorial.html)

9  Pet (!) bed in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by Jillinamillion on: March 05, 2012 01:22:14 PM
We don't have a pet, but my daughters adore their stuffed toys and they are treated like their pets!  They asked if I could make little beds for them - so I made these:

Well to be totally honest - I made the small pink one, and my older daughter (aged 8 ) made the bigger blue one!

I posted the simple tutorial if anyone is interested!

The doggie and wombat are very pleased with their new beds and slept well last night!!

10  Swimming Bags in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Jillinamillion on: February 27, 2012 05:07:13 PM
Over the last few years, I've made lots of bags - particularly for my kids.  But last week I realised that they were still using old shopping bags for their swimming gear.  Since swimming is their thing and they go 4 or 5 times a week, this was a serious oversight on my part - so I rushed to make up for it and came up with these:

I used nylon ripstop as the main fabric to keep it waterproofish, and netting at the bottow to allow drips from the wet gear out and stop smells.

The girls love them and their friends are already asking for ones too!

I posted a tutorial after requests too:
