1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: NIN Hat - First color work on: December 10, 2007 11:17:04 PM
The hat turned out great, I think. I am the one who wrote the pattern/chart for the NIN hat.  Grin

I've made two versions of the hat, myself, to test it. The color work part is a bit thicker than the other parts of the hat. When you wear the hat...it will stretch it out a bit and not look as funky.

10  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Question for Kitty on: January 09, 2007 08:50:13 PM
I have made the kittyville hat several times...How do I explain this...

The pattern is right...
K1, P1, K1 repeat to the end...you will end on a P1. Slip the marker and then P1 stitch again and contonue with K1, P1, K1, (round 2)etc...ending with a K1. You would then slip the marker and K1 again and repeat round 1. The first and last stitches are the same (for some reason.) You can't really see it, in the finished hat.

I remember this as...the last stitch of the round is also the beginning stitch of the next round...Did this make sense? I hope this helps everyone out.  Grin
