1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Down with pink n blue! on: June 27, 2006 08:07:07 AM
I'm not a big fan of the whole pink is for girls and blue is for boys baby nonsense. I am however a big big fan of mint-chocolate! I made these 2 pairs of mint-chocolate and chocolate-mint booties for the 2 baby showers I'm going to today. They only took a couple hours per pair (most of which was the weaving in of ends which I am really not good at).

They are being gifted in a few hours. Anybody have any suggestions as to which should be for the boy and which for the girl?

You can't really tell, but I used the same yarn for both just in opposition. Sorry about the crappy pics... webcam.
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / For the androgenous babe on: September 12, 2005 11:27:34 AM
After months and months of procrastinating I finally, finally finished my very first baby sweater! And just in the nick of time too, he-she's due to pop out any day now! So I'll be mailing it to the mother to be asap. Not that the baby'll be able to wear it anytime soon (unless it's ginormaous) since it's a 6 mo sweater.

Without further ado may I present to you the baby clothes: http://spaces.msn.com/members/theresamaresa/Blog/cns!1pUQKq_gtoekqoOxiPeJbohg!1882.entry
(Sorry, I forgot to upload the pictures seperately so that I could post them on here... I'll try to remember to do that later)

And of course a link to the pattern by Julie Holetz called Baby It's Cold Outside: http://www.crochetme.com/Feb_Mar_2005/patt_baby_sweater.html
I ended up doing the buttons a little differently than the pattern called for- I think they look cute all oversized like that... what do you think?

This was a super-easy beginner pattern- especially because it was crocheted in Homespun yarn! I think I'm ready to make a Theresa-sized sweater soon!
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / First post- free form bag on: March 22, 2005 01:04:09 PM
Hello all! I'm new to posting- though not new to Crafster- I've been lurking for ages! I love all the wonderful ideas flying around here and knowing that there are so many people as obsessed (and plenty more) with crafting as me!

Enough about that... to the bag! I made it during a watching of the Godfather with some extra yarn I had hanging around. It's sort of natural coloured with navy blue trim. I'm more into vibrant colours- but this is ok.

What do you think? Questions, comments, suggestions would all be welcomed!

(I appologize for the crappiness of the pics- somebody buy this girl a camera!)

Cheers fellow crafters!
