31  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Has anyone ever tried to make a slouchy hobo rounder roomy bag? on: August 03, 2005 03:06:08 PM
I really love tinafish and sushi fumes tutorials to make their bags!

question: has anyone ever tried combiining the two?
i love the pleats in tinafishs' slouchy hobo bag but i dont like how the bottoms of mine are. i love sushifumes ronder roomy bag but i want pleats.

im want to try and make the pleats and zip like tinafish but with the rings and darts like the rounder roomy.

has anyone done this? notes? clues? help?
32  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / How many bags do you need for a 2 day festival.. on: July 28, 2005 09:04:27 PM
Hi. ok let me tell you what my question is by telling you what im doing..

Im going to vend at a two day festival in White Rock -(in BC) and right now i have 54 bags including some small coin purses and 14 dolls. some felt flower pins and other little bits. some fine art too.stuffed owls in boxes and some paintings simon (my boyprend) did...

is this enough stuff (those are question marks but they look like letter Es to me right now.)

this is only my 2nd time doing this and im nervous! coz its for 2 days. the first craft fair i joined was kinda lame. but i did make 90$. i think this festival is more popular actually i dont know.

p.s. im still making bags coz im a freak. i just talked to my friend on the phone and he says that its totally enough. and i guess my boyfriend is just plain overwhelmed. i wish i had more girlfriends opinions damit!!.

please let me know what you think.. the festival is this saturday and sunday!!

35  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Cute Jordy Bags from old placemats!! on: July 09, 2005 02:21:26 AM

and the lining a bright yellow, also from an old napkin.

i love this one!
heres a quick collage simon made holding the cutest bag out of recycled placemats ever!
the lining he chose at fabric warehouse. the little bird we had lying around, old zipper.
theres interfacing and thick canvas.
it was hard to sew the corners coz the edges of the placemat is appliqued, so the corners were so thick.
i really like it! but am having trouble starting the other appliqed placemat-bag construction.

thanks for looking
let me know what you think!
